The Icemaker Assembly is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. It is responsible for producing ice and delivering it to the ice bin within the freezer compartment. This assembly includes the necessary components to ensure consistent ice production, providing a reliable supply of ice for your household.

Over time, icemaker assemblies can fail due to wear and tear, mineral buildup, or electrical malfunctions. A faulty icemaker can disrupt the ice production process, leading to various issues with your refrigerator’s ice supply.

Symptoms of a bad icemaker assembly include:

  • No ice production
  • Smaller than usual ice cubes
  • Ice cubes sticking together
  • Leaks or water overflow in the ice compartment

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Hello Dan. There is an adjustment screw on the side of the icemaker head for small or larger cubes. Remember, turn it very little until you see the size you want. If you move it to much, you can damage the icemaker.

Hello John, If you look under the part you were viewing WPW10190981 you will see that there is a video on changing the icemaker. While this one is not in the bottom of a bottom mount refrigerator, it still mounts to the wall the same way and the electrical connector still plugs in the same way. This video should give you the knowledge needed to change out the icemaker.

Barry for Model Number MFI2569VEQ1

Ice maker has stopped making ice. Water dispenser works on the front door of the refrigerator works normally. There is a block of ice frozen solidly into the front of the ice making area and sticking up well above the level of the horizontal fork tines (it feels like a few ice cubes got stuck pointing up vertically and then frozen into water below. I also have a fair amount of what appears to be white plastic particles in the ice chamber. If ice got stuck in the tray, would the gear that drives the ejection fork strip? Should I try thawing the frozen block with a hair dryer? Any other suggestions?

Barry, You may want to check and reset the freezer temperature a few degrees warmer (3 to 5 dgrs.F.) You may be "flash" freezing the cubes and they could bunch up and create an issue. As for"white particles" in the ice bin, That shouldn't happen, all the gears are contained in the ice maker control module, on the front of the icemaker. You'll need to remove the assembly and check for alignments and damaged parts. We'll send you some basic access and removel information.

Matt, First thing, unplug the power cord or remove power to the refrigerator, Then remove the ice cube container/bin from the compartment. In the left hand side wall of the ice maker / bin compartment you'll see the removable wire harness cover, that extends from the front of the compartment, back to the rear wall 67006350 . use a car or house key, insert it into the small rectangular opening and press down on the hidden locking tab and slide the panel forward a 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch, to dingage the tabs holding the panel to the wall. once the panel is removed, press down on the tab on the front left corner of the icemaker assembly and slide the whole assembly out of the compartment, then disconnect the wiring harness. Thanks and Good Luck
