Hello Larry, In looking at your wiring diagram, it appears that the Blue wire should connect to N or Neutral on the new switch. This is another N terminal and not the one the two black wires connect to. The other end of this blue wire connects to terminal 2a on the limiter of the element.

Ken, On the original switch the number 2 terminal which is double red will go to L1 on the new switch, the N which is double black will go to L2 on the new switch, the terminal 3 which is a single black will go to H1, the terminal number 4 which is the single red wire will go to H2, and the number 5 which is double yellow will go to the P terminal on the new switch.

Arnie, The part number for the 1200 watt "single" element infinite switch is W11121639/WP32064502, it seems to fit the majority of the AK2T36 Amana Electric Cooktop(s). The BOM (bill of materials) number (ie P1131577N) is very important on Amana products. That number designates what parts are installed in the unit, based on production and engineering changes. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks

Ken, the switch hole cover is part number 31985001. Unfortunately, this item has been discontinued with no further replacements or cross references available and our company is unaware of any other available sources. Sorry about that!

Hi Larry. There are two different switches that are different is because of the the options and a dual element. Dual Switch part # 12002422. 6"-Infinite switch part # WP74011243. The center warmer burner is part # 74008230. Thank You.
