Neal, Test to see if there is 120 vac to the water valve. If there is then check for frozen water line in the door by disconnecting the water line at the door hinge. If water comes out when the lever is pushed then the tubing has frozen and would need to be thawed.

It could be any of those. Best to connect a multimeter to the water valve and cycle the ice maker. See if 120v goes to the valve. No voltage replace the ice maker D7824706Q. If you have 120v next take hose off valve that goes to the ice maker and cycle again. Be ready to catch water coming out of the valve. If water came out the valve is good and you have a blockage in the line to find and clear. If no water came out replace the valve 12001892.

Marlin, The part that you would need for the filter valve is WP61005627 and the wire harnesses will connect to the water valve. There are 2 harnesses the black with white will go to the left and the other will go to the right side. The water line for the dispenser will connect to the water valve that has the green and brown solenoid on them. It will go under the brown solenoid. The water line for the filter will connect to the filter valve that is missing.

Carl, Since testing the valves would probably indicate no issues, your best option, under the circumstances, is to replace them both. Depending on serial number the parts needed should be 12001892 Valve, Filter and 61005626 water inlet valve assembly. If the serial number starts with 11 or above, the filter valve is WP61005627 there a slight design change.

Danny, This issue does sound like it would be caused by a faulty water valve which is located on the back lower corner of the refrigerator. The unit will need to be pulled out to access this.

Hi Wayne, check to see if your evaporator drain 61003830 or drain tube 61004751 is clogged and not letting the water drain after the unit goes into defrost cycle. It's supposed to drain down into the drain pan 61004095 but if it's clogged somewhere along the way you may experience the leak you are seeing. Hope this helps!

Hi. The water valve part # 12001892 is the double solenoid valve in the back behind the cover on the rt. corner. The water filter part # EDR7D1 inside the top of the fresh food controls in the center in the back. It is released by 1/4 turn counterclockwise. Use a towel to catch the water dripping. Instructions inside the filter will explain how to reset the fountain control indicator light. Remove the fill hose to the ice maker going up the back of the unit. The clamp is part # WP488878. The fill tube to the ice maker may have back filled and frozen over so it does not allow the water to get to the ice maker. Pull it out the back of the unit and thaw it out under the sink. Dry it and reinstall it using a new clamp since the old one will distort and leak. Thank You.
