Hello Greg. You will need to disconnect the power to the unit. Then remove the screws securing the inner door panel. Remove the inner door panel. Now you can access and replace the latch in the unit.

Terry, No, the wiring location shouldn't affect the latching assembly or mechanism, unless it's totally backwards. You'll need to look and make sure the alignment tabs inside the control panel are not damaged, and the latch is properly seated inside the door liner and panel. Then check the door strike on the tub, to make sure it hasn't slipped back or distorted and not catching the latch inside the door.
