M W. October 27, 2011 for Model Number lat8714aal I ordered 4 leg adjusters for my maytag washer model number lat8714aal ,ser.num.a0202448ks and they arrived. But they went straight up rather than going in at the top and then are flat. Do you have any suggestion as to how to get them to fit?
1 Answer Hi M W. Remove the lower front panel screws. Use a putty knife and release the top clips approx. 3" in from front corners. Pull up on the lower part of the panel and remove ,set aside. Look at the base corners where the threaded boss cut outs where the legs go. They may have widened and need to be tightly rounded with pliers. This will allow the legs to be screwed in from the bottom. Level from front to back and side to side. Use leg pads part # WP210684. Lock the nuts up tight under the base.
