Ed August 13, 2011 for Model Number LAT9804AAM (Serial 135239500K) I'm trying to replace lower oil seal. Will I need to replace oil that has leaked, and how do I do that? Will I need anything other than the lower oil seal kit? Thanks for your reply..this is a GREAT service!!

1 Answer Hi George. No it doesnt have to be all to bad. You will need to get a roll of paper towels and clean all the oil while you are there. You will have to use the main pulley to help insert the new seal correctly. There should be directions along with the seal. The seal is part # 207843. Thank you. Read More...
Chris June 09, 2011 for Model Number LAT8816AAE I noticed oil under our washing machine. Could this be the trans lower seal or possibly the silicone adhesive deteriorating between the trans cover and trans? I have not opened up the machine yet. Is their any special tools needed to complete any of these jobs?
