Hi Peter. Remove the unit. Remove the cover. Discharge the capacitor terminals by using a rubber handle pair of needle nose pliers and shorting the 2- terminals together a few times. Use gloves to protect yourself from sharp edges. Note the magnetron wires as they are hooked up. You will unbolt the magnetron part # W10245183 to remove and replace the magnetron. Thank You.

Hello Tom. You will use a long screwdriver and hold the handle not the metal. Touch the end to the capacitor terminals, be sure the unit is unplugged, and tough the shaft to metal ground. This will discharge the capacitor. Now you can access and replace the magnetron W10245183. Hope this helps.

Hi Mike. Is all else working normally? If so you are correct to presume the magnetron is faulty. Is it making a growling sound also? If so the magnetron is part # W10245183. You may get lucky if there is no unnormal noise, and just need the diode which fires the magnetron part # is W11256462. However if it is the growling, you will need to replace both. The capacitor needs to be either discharged properly or made completely sure you do not get shorted between the contacts. The capacitor stores a very deadly amount of voltage and is a matter of life and death. Thank you.
