Jim November 17, 2024 for Model Number ED5CHQXKQ03 The condenser fan motor I pulled out of my refrigerator Whirlpool M/N ED5CHQXKQ03 is a Bitron STAR4 053270607-37050020 is not the same with what ApplianceParts suggest is W10822259 . The original fan blade does not fit the thicker diameter shaft of the W10822259. Do you have the original Bitron STAR4 because I do not want to purchase the condenser fan blade?
1 Answer Hello Jim, thank you for contacting Appliance Parts Pros. The original fan and fan blade are no longer available from the manufacturer. The fan blade will need to be replaced with part # [W11458267] to fit this motor. Read More...
Brian October 29, 2022 for Model Number GI6SARXXF00 My original condenser fan motor uses 3 mounting screws and W11387394 only uses 2 but your website says it's the correct motor for my model number. Plus the position of the electrical connection is different. I assume it will work by possibly rotating the new motor?
1 Answer Brian, Yes, this condenser fan motor will be correct for your unit and has just been redesigned. You will need to rotate it to get it in place. Read More...
Brian October 27, 2022 for Model Number GI6SARXXF00 Regarding your response to my question about the condenser fan running while the compressor is running, you said if the fan motor isn't getting 120 volts it would be a wiring issue. It looks like the blue and white wires on the condenser fan motor go through the cabinet to the main control board. What wiring I can see looks okay. Could it be the main control board?
1 Answer Brian, If the condenser fan is not running while the compressor is and there is not 120 Vac to the fan then the main control board would be the issue. Read More...
Brian October 27, 2022 for Model Number GI6SARXXF00 Hello. Shouldn't the condenser fan turn on when the compressor starts? My condenser fan motor spins freely but didn't kick on after I replaced the start device on the compressor. Compressor is running now. I don't think it's getting power. Should I test for power at the main control board? if so, how much voltage should I see and what pins should I check for power at? Thanks.
1 Answer Brian, the condenser fan W11613295 should be operating at the same time as the compressor. The fan motor can be tested for 120VAC at the time that the compressor is operating. If it is receiving the voltage and the fan is not moving, the fan motor would need to be replaced. If there is not 120VAC, there would be a wiring issue. Read More...
Js21 March 29, 2021 for Model Number WRF555SDFZ Hi. I have a brand new french-door bottom-freezer fridge, model WRF555SDFZ. The condenser fan runs about 23 hours per day any time the door is closed. Is this normal? I was told that it was normal, but I have never owned a fridge with a noisy fan that runs 20-23 hours per day. The only time the fan ever turns off is when I open the door, or if I set the fridge and freezer temperature to a much higher setting. Then the fan might turn off for 30 minutes, but will always turn back on eventually and stay on. I really HATE this fridge. Is there a different motor I can get that isn't as loud? Why does it run almost continuously? How long will it last if it runs all the time?
1 Answer JS21, Yes, all the fans in the unit operate for a longer period of time, than the previous versions of refrigerators, but the new units are more efficient and low energy consumption. Based on your description, you may want to move the unit out, remove the compressor compartment cover and check the condenser fan, condenser coil, and the other components in the compartment. The fan motors run more, but they aren't as loud as the previous versions of the fan motors, check the installation as well, the fan could be out of alignment because the unit isn't properly leveled. Lisa October 30, 2020 for Model Number Refrigeration Appliance Condenser fan motor w10609117 need wire harness for this fan motor Refrigeration Appliance Condenser fan motor w10609117 need wire harness for this fan motor, the one that plugs into the fan. Do y'all have that part. It should have been sent with the fan.
1 Answer Hello Lisa, the manufacturer supplies the fan motor only as a replacement part, the wire harness to it is a separate part, if you will repost your question with the model number we can find the correct wire harness for you. Read More...
Mike September 11, 2020 for Model Number MFI2569VEB2 Frig. Quit cooling. Light works but fan and compressor not working. No clicking sounds or anything. Checked compressor with ohm meter and not shorted. Replaced start relay and capacitor but still nothing. If compressor fan motor is bad will that prevent compressor from starting? Any suggestions on what to try next?
1 Answer Mike, if the compressor and condenser fan motor are not receiving 120VAC when the refrigerator should be cooling, the failure would either be with a thermistor or with the main control. With the refrigerator unplugged, the refrigerator thermistor 12002355 and freezer thermistor 12002355 can be tested at the main control using connection J3. With the black probe of the meter staying at pin 5 (white and orange wire), the red probe would be placed at pin 1 for the refrigerator thermistor and pin 2 for the freezer thermistor. At 77°F, the thermistors should read 10KO, at 36°F they should read 29.5KO, and at 0°F they should read 86.3KO. If the resistance does not match the temperature range, then the thermistor in question would need to be replaced. If the resistance is within a 10% range of the temperature, then the main control WPW10310240 has failed and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Jim March 10, 2020 for Model Number KSCS25FTSS01 I need an evaporator fan kit, which part do I need for this model?
Barbara March 07, 2019 gSF26c5exW02 Ice maker issue. Flap at bottom of chute not closing. Tried to research a little. See a spring that might need to be replaced. Very inexpensive, wondering what part number is for the flap? Is that included with replacement chute? Ice maker makes ice just fine, but then melts, and freezes at the bottom. Can see now that it is turned off that flap is not closing probably leading to melting, refreezing at bottom of chute. Trying to avoid calling for repair. Thought I would order spring and then take apart according to video. Wondering if I should order new flap, can't find that part. Barbara
1 Answer Barbara, you may want to check to ensure that the door chute motor is operating properly as these motors can fail to close completely and cause the chute door to not fully seat. If it is not allowing the door to close fully, then you would need to replace it. The flap comes with the motor as a kit [WPW10493172]. Read More...
Graham September 05, 2018 for Model Number MFC2061HES I have a Maytag french door fridge with a bottom freezer. A while ago I noticed that the ice in the ice-make bin was clumping - obviously there was some thawing and re-freezing. I put a plastic tub underneath and that allowed some ice to stay un-clumped if I replaced the tub every week. However, now the fridge nor freezer will not stay cold - it is as if it is going into defrost cycle permanently. To the point that the fridge was getting warm. The vertical door guide was almost hot. There is air blowing beneath the fridge - but not warm air. I replaced the defrost thermostat (AP6010356) to no avail. Any suggestions on what to look at next?
2 Answers Graham, It is possible that part W10613606 start device has failed on your unit and the compressor is not running. Pull the unit out from the wall and check the compressor. You could also listen for a clicking noise every minute or two as an indicator this relay has failed. Read More...
