Brandon March 11, 2015 for Model Number MVWX700XL2 My washing machine quit spinning so I ordered an actuator assuming this was the problem. When I turned the machine over there was oil on the floor, and the oil is coming from the drive motor. If the actuator failed, would this cause the oil to come out of the drive motor or do I need to replace the motor? Thanks

George January 26, 2015 for Model Number MVWC400XW4 When you push the start the light comes on then the door lock locks with the light then the lock light goes off and unlocks lid. I pulled the top off and when you push start the tub and agitator look like they want to move I hear a hum from the bottom end then the lock light goes off. Any ideas I am thinking that the motor or trans is bad.
1 Answer George, You will need to put the unit into the diagnostic mode. You will need to check for error codes. This will be explained on the tech sheet in a plastic bag taped to the inside of the cabinet. It is easiest accessed by raising the main top and opening the ziplock bag it is in so it can be put back when you are finished. This way it will e there if ever needed again.
