Douglas Y. August 15, 2015 for Model Number C31315VBV The stove has a large opening orifice for natural gas. Do I have to replace the orifice if I have propane? If so, is it difficult?
1 Answer Hello Douglas, These hoods are fully adjustable. If they are set up for natural gas they will be backed off about 1 1/2 to 2 turns. To change the unit over to LP gas simply tight them down clockwise about the same number of turns as previously listed. Be sure when adjusting the 1/2 inch brass hoods, DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN as this will cause damage to the unit. You will find one hood under each surface burner and one on the oven valve directly under the bake burner. Read More...
Alfred November 02, 2014 for Model Number C31315XBW Is the orifice for this model the same for each side? Are these for Natural gas?
1 Answer Alfred, The Orifice fitting assembly for your unit is part number WP5187M026-60 and is the same for both sides and are set from the factory for natural gas. To change to LP you would just tighten the orifices down and open the air shutters on the burners. Read More...

Joe S. March 30, 2011 for Model Number gm31113wav my technician told me to order an orifice assembly specifially for each saide of my range. Meaning, he told me I need to order a right side and left side orifice assembly because they are different for each side. I see here that you display only one type of unspecified orifice, does that mean that I can buy two of these to replace both my existing faulty orifices & not pay attention to the sides?
1 Answer Joe, You are correct, WP5187M026-60 apparently is used on both sides of the cooktop, so you can order 2 of the same part number, based on what I have reviewed. I'm also surprised, I would have thought you'have 2 different burner orifice assemblies, as well. Thanks for the inquiry, and Good Luck. Read More...
