Patricia, We would need to have the model number to be able to assist properly but most likely the thermal couple is what is causing the unit to not heat.

Mitzi, The first check needs to be at the bake burner igniter 74007498. A weak igniter can cause all the symptoms as you described. A properly operating igniter will usually glow "white hot" in 60 seconds and draws 3.2 to 3.6 amps which is required to open the safety valve. An igniter that glows orange or red produces approximately 2.8 to 3.0 amps and cannot open the valve properly, if at all.

Ron, The oven sensor should be at 1090 ohms plus or minus 10 percent at 77 degrees. If the sensor is checking ok then you would want to check the wiring from the sensor to the control. If wiring checks ok then you will want to check the elements to ensure that they are getting proper power and check to make sure that neither of the elements are bad.

BF, Under the circumstances, You most likely have a weak oven igniter 12400035, it's a bit hard to tell without a proper model number. The igniter can glow but not produce enough amperage to open the oven safety valve. You should be able to remove the oven bottom panel, turn on the oven and observe if the glow bar igniter glows "white hot" and produces the 3.2 to 3.6 amps needed to open the safety valve.
