Ken P March 01, 2013 for Model Number PGR5705BDH Maytag Gas My temperature is inconsistent. I set it at 350 and it might get to 400 , then set at 340 and it only gets to 275 or a little higher. then would adjust temp and it was all over the place. What is the ohm reading on the oven temp sensor.
1 Answer Ken, At room temperature you should have a resistance reading of the oven sensor of 1090 ohms plus or minus 10 percent. The room temp would be at 77 degrees. Read More...
Jb February 24, 2013 for Model Number LGR330ADZ My oven takes for ever to heat up, broil does fine. Would it be the sensor or control board?
1 Answer Hello JB. No, either the element or the control on the unit is bad and will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Nelson February 15, 2013 for Model Number maytag MGS5870ADQ convection gas oven Oven heats up fine. But if exhaust fan dosn't turn on I get a f-3 code. Then if I unplug it to reset oven it works fine. Fan goes on and works well for a week or so.
1 Answer Hello Nelson, You will want to check the fan circuit on the control board for 120 vac. Check from CVB/fan to Neutral when unit is not operational. If there is no power then you would need to replace control board. If there is power then you would need to replace the fan. Read More...
Ken January 27, 2013 for Model Number PGR5710BDW (Maytag Gas 30" Free Standing Oven) The oven will not heat up to the desired temperature. When i set the oven for 375 the bell goes off after the preheat however; the inside temperature reads 320 or so. I adjusted the the temputure at the control panel up a few degrees but this does not seem the work. I would be gratefull for any help. Thanks Ken
1 Answer Hello Ken, You will want to test your oven sensor for resistance. The resistance reading should be approximately 1090 ohms. If not within 10 percent of this then the oven sensor [AP12001655] would need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. James January 13, 2013 for Model Number Whirlpool Range/Oven RS363PCYN1 or RS363PCYW1 Does Whirlpool part number 12001655 replace the the old part #4371578 Oven Temp Sensor?. My range was manufactured in 1993 and I am getting an F-3 code after turning on the oven for a few minutes. IF I continue to turn off and then turn on several times eventually it will start up and reach a desired temp. My unit is electric. I have also seen an F-2 code but not as often as the F-3.
Glen January 09, 2013 for Model Number AGR5715QDQ Everything works except Bake. The temperature on the display comes on, then clicks but nothing else happens.
1 Answer Hello Glen, You will want to check your oven ignitor. Using amp meter you will put the amp clamp on the wire for the ignitor and turn oven on. You should be getting between 3.2 and 3.6 amps. If you are not getting this then you have a bad ignitor WP7432P136-60. Read More...
Tom January 03, 2013 for Model Number h3478vrv My stove is not heating properly. I can turn it on and the display will show 200 degrees and the stove hasn't even been on 5 seconds. Other times when I turn the temperature way up, it will actually go to 500 degrees. Is this a problem with the temp probe or could it be somthing else?
1 Answer Hello Tom, It does sound like an issue with the oven sensor. You would want to do a resistance check on the oven sensor. The sensor should read out at 1090 ohms at 77 degree room temp. If over that then it would be a bad sensor 12001655 and need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Jer December 12, 2012 for Model Number 9495XRB I have a old wall oven microwave combo, The oven stopped heating up so we replaced the oven igniter ( your part), the oven did not get past 200 degrees, then we replaced the heat sensor, ( your part) and tried again but it won't get past 200 degrees. The tempature dial we set to 500 degrees and it will show it getting there in less then a minute. BUT the oven wont get past 500 degrees. Any ideas what could be the issue? aslo when trying to fix the buttons on the microwave, something shocked, but the oven was bad before this. ( i think we touch a item to metal). please help
1 Answer Jer, You didn't have any error codes in the oven display ? You'll need to lower the control panel and check the resistance of the temp. sensor at the connection on the "T" clock for the 1050 to 100 ohms, also check each wire for a circuit to chassis ground. If all's OK then you'll need to replace the "T" clock [Y01210109] (which has been discontinued by the manufacturer). Read More...

Rosa November 30, 2012 for Model Number PGR5710BDC My oven will not go on unless I light all the burners for a good while and then the lights to the oven start flickering and I can turn my oven on.
1 Answer Hello Rosa. First thing to check is a low voltage issue in the house wiring. If all is good, look for a weak igniter in the unit. Read More...
