Ad February 01, 2013 for Model Number Amana Dryer LEM847 W There is a little black "box" on the top of the motor which (maybe the overload switch) that seems to not have current going through it. The motor runs when connected to other power but will not run when connected to dryer power. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Ad, You will want to check the thermal fuses on the unit to make sure that they are not open. You will do a continuity test on the thermal fuses and thermostats. If any are open then you need to replace. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Joel August 07, 2012 for Model Number 110.68942892 I have a kenmore dryer 90 series mod # 110.68942892 that will not run unless you hold the push to start button in. When you relaease it it stops. Also it will not heat or will the timer move at all while running. I have done all the test on power as well as ohm out the heater coil. I have also reversed the two relays with no results.. Any Ideas? Thanks
