Stevieray December 10, 2014 for Model Number PYGT244AWW i seem to be having the same drive motor pulley breaking issue as alot of other people are having with the bell type pulley.my belt broke and i took dryer front panel off and belt looked like crap, shredded, and also the end of the pulley was in bottom of dryer.this is the part that you put a wrench on to remove it,mine is threaded, but it is reverse threads.righty=lucy and lefty=tighty, that is looking from the back, but you have to remove it from front,so from front you turn to the left to remove it with vise grips or channel locks.dont clamp very hard, cause it is aluminum.also have to hold shaft with vise grips or channel locks.my shaft is round,no flat spot.i was told no replacement pulley from several appliance stores,i have to get new motor with pulley on it.now i am am told from Maytag Dealer that 31001535 is the pulley i need,so i ordered it today,be here tomorrow.what do you think of this.i will report back tomorrow of how it goes.oh,also he said if pulley dont work, bring it back and he would refund money, but i hope it works.i am brain dead.

Dryeridiot March 15, 2014 for Model Number CDE6500W What motor pulley will fit a Crosley CDE6500W? How is it replaced?
1 Answer Dryeridiot, The pulley part number for your unit is WP31001535. To access the motor to remove the pulley, you will first need to lift the main top by pushing in on 2 spring clips between the main top and the front panel. This will allow you to be able to lift the main top. Once the main top is up there will be a couple of screws that hold the front panel in place. Remove the front panel and make sure power is disconnected from the unit. WIth the font panel off release the belt from the pulley paying close attention to how it is installed. Take the front bulkhead off and remove the drum. Once turn is out to remove the pulley you will need a cresent wrench and a pair of vice grips. Using the vice grips get ahold of the shaft of the motor behind the pulley and use the cresent wrench to loosen the pulley. Reinstall in reverse. Read More...
Chuck February 14, 2014 for Model Number MDE21PDDYW The pulley #31001535 will it work on our dryer? The one that broke is threaded -it is not pressed on. The belt runs derectly over threads. I think it is really silly that you have to buy a motor specially on a commercial unit thats like changing the engine in your car cause you need new spark plugs. Thanks, Chuck
1 Answer Hello Chuck! No, the pulley will not work on your model. Unfortunately, you'll have to replace the motor assembly part number WP33002795. Thanks! Read More...
