1 Answer Hello Gene. No, there is no reset on the unit. You need to check and see if the thermostat WP4-83053-002 is bad and needs to be replaced on the unit. It should read closed when the unit is turned on and is warm inside the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Jerry P. May 15, 2012 for Model Number ET22MKXPWRO My compressor relay went bad, but my capacitor is rated at 15 and is only showing 13.5. I went to a local appliance store and they gave me a universal relay / overload. The only way it would work was removing the capacitor. When it started, the compressor got extremely hot. The blogs I read stated this univeral relay was bad about burning up the compressor. My question is,does this new relay work with out the capacitor as well? My overload is fed from the capacitor and I don't see that connection available on this new part.
