For Whirlpool Dishwasher Lower Door Seal (Part Number: OEM18066963)

Chester for Model Number 66513693N410

Hi! Desperately need some help! I’m leaking from the lower left corner. I replaced the rubber door seal and lower “seal”. I watched a cycle without the outer door to see how it continued to leak. I’d take/attach a video if I could. It seems to be associated with the water jetting when the lower spray arm does its work. I checked the holes in the spray arm—no clogging. Metered the float switch—working fine. I’m stumped! Could it have anything to do with the diverted motor function? I have noticed that the top rack dishes are a bit dirtier after a cycle. Thanks in advance!

Chester, make sure the dishwasher is level, that the spray arms are moving properly.

Mr Sill, With the lower door seal having already been replaced and the spray arms being good, this will most likely be an issue with the main door seal.

Bart, the clips would not necessarily clip in as the screw holes of the lower door seal is used to secure it in place. The seal should set down as shown in the video shown in the following link. https://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-seal-door-bottom-wpw10497235-ap6022318.html#autoplay

Hello Bill, check if the lower part of the door is rubbing on the top of the kickp[late. Otherwise the dishwasher will need to be pulled out enough to see the door hinge on that side and check where the noise is coming from.

McSpicy, This lower door seal is showing as being the only seal for the unit. The manufacturer redesigned the part which would mean it may look different than the original.

Fredfear for Model Number KitchenAid KUDE60FXSS4

I noticed that my KitchenAid KUDE60FXSS4 dishwasher was missing a tab on the right side, thus the cause of a minor leak under the door. Therefore, I ordered a new bottom door seal and it is obvious that the one currently on the dishwasher is damaged. Although the dishwasher is under warranty, this was only a $4 part. Therefore, I felt that this was the way to go and not schedule a technician and miss a day of work. I was hoping that there would be instructions on how to install. Does the existing one just snap off with a putty knife or do I need to remove the back cover? Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Fredfear, To install this seal you will need to remove the inner door panel and remove the screws holding it in place. Once removed you can install the new one.
