For Whirlpool Washer Tub Seal (Part Number: OEM13703325)

Hello Richard, yes, you can try to cut it off, however since it is a seal do not nick the sealing surface of the gearcase, also the seal usually has a hard carbon surface as well as a stainless steel spring for tension. Should this become unworkable order the gearcase W11454372 which has the seal factory installed on the gearcase.

Ray, Thanks for the question!!! The seal comes already installed on the gearcase. No break dow gives a separate part number for the seal.

Joseph for Model Number MVWX600XW1

I am trying to install a tub seal (part number W10324647) onto the gearcase shaft. As shown in your video it appears to slip on and take just a little push to seat it onto the base of the case around the shaft with a bit of the shaft appearing above the inner rim of the seal. However, I can not seem to do that. I just can not get it seated properly. Even pushing it down with all my body weight I can not get it to seat. Is there some other trick to push the seal down all the way? I've thought of putting it into boiling water to soften it a little in hopes it would slide down all the way on the shaft. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Joseph, the seal can sometimes be difficult to place and this can be made easier by applying a thin amount of grease to the lip as it is likely that the seal is rolling when being put into place.

Hello Briant, The wire tie is used to support the wiring harness in case the existing wire tie has to be removed. This is not always needed/used. It is only included in case it is needed.

Hello Steve, Since Maytag is owned by Whirlpool, the replacement part will have Whirlpool on it. You will need a spanner wrench TB123B for this job. I'm sorry but we do not yet have a video for this parts' replacement.

Don, Remove the inner tub and check for items stuck in between the tubs causing this noise. If you do not find anything the only thing left is motor and gearcase. Remove the belt and run a drain and spin cycle to hear the motor independently from the machine.

Randy, check the pulley and splutch assembly to see if the gears are stripped or loose, if they look ok, you will need to replace the gear case, part number [W10771759 ]
