Curt May 27, 2013 for Model Number mde5500ayw Dryer squeeks. Is there a repair kit to get or just the belt?
1 Answer Hello Curt! Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not offer a repair kit for your model MDE5500AYW. If a repair kit were offered the kit would usually consist of the belt part number WP33002535, roller part number 12001541 and belt tension pulley part number WP6-3700340. I'd also check the tumber bearings 306508. Hope this helps, thanks! Read More...
Dave February 01, 2013 for Model Number Maytag LSG1000 Dryer My dryer is making a loud rumbling sound: Please see my YouTube Video below showing the exact noise problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeq7wSZbMp0
Debbie January 16, 2013 for Model Number LDE7600ACW We are replacing the dryer drum belt, also drum support rollers and tumbler bearing kit, do we also need the drum roller axle? Thanks
1 Answer Debbie, As long as there are no major wear marks or scratches, on the axles WP6-3129480, you can usually clean the axle and "buff" them with emory cloth. Then lube the shafts and roller bearing (center opening) 12001541 with a couple of drops of turbine oil TJ93240. You'll also want to repeat the procedure on the idler pulley assembly WP6-3037050. 1 Answer Hello Nick, Between the main top and the cabinet in hte front there would be 2 clips that have to be released to lift top. If it has the lint filter on top then remove lint filter and 2 screws, pull forward on top and lift. Read More...

Ben Warnock October 17, 2012 My Dryer model #MDE9206AYW is making the loud screeching noise that I see on some of the other post. Can I just replace the roller axle MFG Part Number 6-3129480, or do you think I should replace the support roller MFG Part Number 12001541 as well? The dryer sounds a little rough even when it is not screeching so loud you have to leave the house. Do you suggest replacing the bearing kit MFG Part Number 306508 as well. I would rather not have to buy a rivet tool if the axle and or support roller will stop the loud noise.
1 Answer Ben, either of those parts could be causing your noise. Since you're already going to be there, it makes since to replace the rollers 12001541 and the Tumbler Bearing Kit 306508. It's recommended that you replace both bearing kits and both rollers at the same time. You should be able to find a rivot tool at a reasonable price. Hope this helps! Read More...
1 Answer Hello Wayne, This probably has nothing to do with the unit being gas. Most of the time, the drum rollers 12001541, idler wheel WP6-3037050, and glides 306508 make the noise. This is a pre-cursor to failure. The belt WPY312959 should be inspected to determine if the other failing parts have caused the belt to need replacement. Read More...

1 Answer Hello You will need to order the roller axles WP6-3129480 and the rollers 12001541. Also, it is a good idea to replace the idler roller WP6-3700340 as well when doing the repair. Hope this helps. Read More...

William July 05, 2011 for Model Number Maytag stackable front loader washer and dryer unit Dryer issue. There is some play in the front of the dryer. It seems like maybe something is wore out. It is about 8 years old or better. Sometimes grease is on our light colored cloths. My wife says the clothes is getting holes in them, and many clothes are getting ruined. Is it the drum support roller, or maybe the dryer drum roller axle that is worn out?
1 Answer Hello William. We will need you to provide your model number to help you with this problem. Thanks. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
