Gabby G. September 04, 2012 for Model Number LSQ 9030PQ5 -SERIAL NO-CS4602069 -TYPE 111 My 5 year old whirlpool washer makes a loud pounding noise on the final seconds of the end of the high speed spin, rinse spin, even when it's empty of water and clothes. It works perfectly up to that point on every cycle. It is level. Can you help? Thanks!
Tom & Monica August 28, 2012 for Model Number LA9800XPW1 26-year old Whirlpool washer and dryer still working great -- except -- washer has stopped spinning out water. Tub drains fine, but no spin. The clutch is fine, transmission is fine, belts are fine, lid switch is fine. Opened up the back of the machine to investigate. There is voltage going to the spin solenoid and if I press up on the bottom of the wigwag with a screwdriver, it will engage and spin (pretty inconvenient though). Will replacing the wigwag solenoid fix the problem?
1 Answer Hello Tom & Monica. Yes, based on the information you provided, you need to replace the wig wag 84867 on the unit. Read More...
Chris February 01, 2012 for Model Number 11082372110 My washer tub spins in all cycles. Could this be from a bad solenoid switch? It agitates when it should and then spins when it should but the tub always spins even in wash cycle. This is not right is it? It should only spin in the spin cycle right?
2 Answers Hello Chris. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the drive block WP389140 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...

Chuck R. September 06, 2011 for Model Number Whirlpool LSQ8543JQ0 The washer wouldn't spin or drain in any setting, and didn't do anything in some settings. I replaced the timer and now it agitates and fills but still won't spin or drain. What other items might be worth checking? Is there a key to what color wires go to each location? Since it is difficult to move the washer, I might be able check for open switches or bad solenoids from the timer panel.
1 Answer Hi Chuck. You will need to replace the wig-wag device. Part # is 84867. This will come with instructions. Thank you. Read More...
Paul August 23, 2011 for Model Number wed9400 I just got a 2 yur old whirlpool duet washer and dryer. They traveled 400 miles to reach my doorstep. The washer vibrates terribly ( moving across floor ) when in spin mode. It also makes an very unhealthy metal on metal sound when spinning. I dropped the washer on its side after installing the drawers... about 1.5 ft. did I screw it up ?
1 Answer Paul, You may have, You attached a dryer model number, A washer model number would be a big help. You may be able to remove the rear panel, top of the washer(and on some models) the lower access panel and observe the upper tub mount springs, the lower tub supports(look like shock absorbers) and see if any of those components were damaged or dislodged when the washer fell over. You did double check and make sure there was no vibration in the floor and that the washer was installed on the pedestal properly, and all four feet of the pedestal are on the floor solid. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...

Bob August 17, 2011 for Model Number LA7800XPW1 Hello, Is there any way to test this part, to see if it is not working properly? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Bob. To test the wig wag 84867, you will look for voltage on the solenoids. Looking from the back of the machine, the solenoid on the left is agitate and should have 120 volts during agitation. The solenoid on the right is the spin solenoid. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
