Joe Bag Of Donuts January 29, 2020 for Model Number whirlpool cabrio # WTW6200SW1 this is 13 yrs old washer, everything is happening now. Here we go,1st replaced the basket hub,2nd suspension rod kit, last, bearing and tub seal. Now the washer is quiet, but still, get a banging side to side. Now it won't finish the wash cycle, always getting a UL code... Lift the lid, straighten all that's in the tub, run again for a couple of minutes, and UL code and this happens when it goes into a spin cycle and as I look in the back if the washer I see that it moves front to back and bangs... What I do now to get to finish the cycle is hold the 2 back suspension rods and even the load to complete the end cycle or the UL code comes on again and this is driving me crazy. I leveled the washer, which has been on a tile floor and rechecked, perfect. I lost on this issue. Now, what recourse do I have now?????
1 Answer Joe, If holding the suspension rods to allow the unit to spin then this would be an issue with the suspension rods that would need to be replaced. Read More...
Brian October 27, 2019 for Model Number Mat13mndaw Washer sticking in unbalanced mode. Won't go in to any other modes.
1 Answer Brian, the unbalanced lever WP22001969 will need to be inspected for any broken parts or obstructions that may be preventing it from resetting the lid switch WP22004243 properly. The counterbalance ring WPW10860268 and damper pads 203956 should be inspected for excessive wear or failure as this can cause the unbalance lever to activate and stop the unit. Read More...

Matt February 02, 2019 for Model Number Mvwx655dw My washer keeps giving the unbalanced load code, even with very little clothes in the machine. So the clothes are soaking wet because it won’t go into a full spin cycle. I already replaced the 4 tension sponge and rods. Is there and imbalance switch or something like that that I can order and replace ? Thanks
1 Answer Matt, There is not a balance switch for this unit and you will want to check to make sure that the hub nut is not loose or broken, also check to make sure that the splutch is not loose or damaged. Read More...

James September 10, 2016 for Model Number MLG2000AWW My stacked washer won't go into the spin cycle and I am trying to find the location of the inertial unbalanced switch and how do you know it is bad? Thank you
1 Answer Hello James, The INERTIAL - UNBALANCE Switch is on the right side of the outer tub assembly right next to the TUB DISPLACEMENT Switch. You can test through the complete out of balance circuit from the machine control board terminal P3-2 to terminal P3-4. This should be done with power disconnected and the harness unplugged and testing on the harness, not the board. If there is a microswitch on the left rear shock, it has been discontinued and should be bypassed as per the manufacturer. Use of the units' wiring diagram is very useful in the diagnosis of this machine. This should be located in the control panel on the unit. Read More...
Stephen W July 24, 2015 for Model Number MAH5500BWW My washer I started washing it did good but all of a sudden it stopped but the panel lights was on and ameesage said lr it kept clicking what could it be?
1 Answer Stephen, The issue with the unit showing a LR error is a locked rotor. You will want to perform the diagnostics motor/motor control test, check for loose wire connections and check for binded spinner shaft bearings. Read More...
Melinfab April 05, 2015 When replacing the inertial unbalance switch does it matter which feed line I attach to which prong? I forgot to label them when removing the defective switch and now can't remember which wire goes to which switch . . .

Doug B September 26, 2014 for Model Number MAH5500AWW Should a person be able to push in the internal balance switch
1 Answer Doug, The nomenclature in the parts order screen is incorrect. This particular switch is called an "inertia" off balance switch. No you should not be able to "push in" on the cylinder of the switch. It actually contains a rolling ball that activates the limit switch that is mounted to the assembly. If you dismount the assembly, and shake it, you should hear and feel the motion of the slide. Read More...
Tim January 10, 2014 for Model Number maytag MAH4000AWW My machine wont reach high speed spin the wax motor and the board R11 and Q6 are fine everything else works ok coul it be the out of balance switch?
1 Answer Tim, The issue would most likely be caused by the door lock spin enable switch in the lock assembly that has failed. If this switch is faulty then the unit will not enter the high speed spin. Read More...
