Cathy G April 29, 2012 for Model Number ATW4475VQ0 I recently replaced the timer hoping that would solve my problem but the washer will wash the clothes at any level selected and it will fill with rinse water, then it stops and I have to manually reset it to spin. It does not agitate during the rinse cycle either although the agitator works fine during the wash cycle. The small cycle still works correctly if that helps diagnose...Could it be the water level switch? And is there a video for how to change it if that is the solution? The VIDEOS are life savers!!thanks, Cathy
1 Answer Cathy, You're on the right track, the water level switch is the more likely issue W10339251. If you replaced the timer, recently, replacing the water level switch, will be a breeze, the access and replacement procedure are relatively the same. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...

Elias March 15, 2012 for Model Number mvwc500vw0 I have a maytag centenial washer not working correctly. Here is what is going on. First: It will only fill up when the temperature knob is on warm or hot. If it is on cold or cool only a little water runs out. Second: If I run a cycle on warm or hot it fills up and all seems to run fine until it gets to the rinse, and then it just stops. So I'm thinking the first problem may be the temperature sensor, but have no idea on the second issue? Is that the water level switch?
1 Answer Hello Elias. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the water valve WP3979346 is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit. It sounds like the cold water valve is bad. You can test for power going to the valve. If there is power and no water, replace the water valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Jeff February 11, 2012 for Model Number MVWC400VW0 Little or no hot water comes out. If I tap the panel a few times, it will start to come out but not always. Is this a panel component or the valve assembly itself. I see some sites have said they've permanently discontinued the panel assembly. So yes, I cringe as I await your response.
1 Answer Hi Jeff. It can be the water valve part # WP3979346. Double check the wire's as they are reinserted into the water valve. They need to be clean and tight. It seems as if the electrical solenoid of the water valve is damaged. Flush both water hoses in a bucket as you are changing the valve so you know you are still getting a strong stream. Thank You. Aa_To December 10, 2011 for Model Number ATW4475XQ (Admiral by Maytag/Whirlpool) Hi, I need a new washer and I'm thinking about buying Admiral ATW4475XQ model. The only thing which concerns me is that in reviews most often people complain about low rinse water levels. I also saw that some people were able to adjust it. Is this switch also used to change the rinse water levels? Also, can I possibly increase 3 default water levels for load size (I think in Canada similar model offers up to 5 water levels)? I think it might be the same switch, just used in a different fashion. I still want to have 3 setting, just with more water for each. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Aa_TO. No, you can not change the switches in the washers to the 3 or 5 level switches. Thank you. Read More...

Connie July 01, 2011 for Model Number Roper RTW4340SQ0 How do I remove the water level switch and replace it?
1 Answer Hello Connie. Disconnect the power to the unit. You will need to remove the screws out of the back corners of the control panel and remove the knob from the pressure switch. Then pull the control panel forward and flip it backwards. Now you can access the pressure switch and replace it. If you need to change the pressure hose, you will need to release the two brass colored clips and unplug the lid switch. Then pull the cabinet forward and off the machine. Replace the pressure hose and reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps. Read More...
