Jim May 06, 2018 for Model Number 92292100 Why does the rinse dispenser fill with water when the tub fills with water?

Tom July 30, 2017 for Model Number Mod# 11028902790 My Kenmore washing machine does not stop draining. I don't believe it is being syphoned out as I have the drain going through the wall draining outside through a hose and with the outside hose connection disconnected it still drains out. It has syphoned out before but a reposition of the hose eliminated it. I can't seem to find info for a drain solenoid
1 Answer Tom, The drain would not have a solenoid on it and if there is power constantly to the pump then this will be a control board issue. If there is not power then this will most likely be a siphoning issue and the standpipe needs to be at least 39" off the floor. Read More...
Dave December 10, 2016 for Model Number KAWE565BWHO Power cord to washer got wet when it was in the drain cycle and it now the washer does not run. I assume it shorted out and washer just makes a humming sound. Would the capacitor be the problem?
1 Answer Dave, This issue will most likely not be caused by a faulty capacitor. For this issue it would be more likely that the contacts in the timer are stuck and causing a crossed signal to the motor. This would require a new timer. Read More...

Dan May 27, 2016 for Model Number LSR5132JQ1 Trying to figure out what to try first, here is a description of the problem: The washer will intermittently not stop filling with water, resulting in an overflow. the agitator does not start, so it seems as though the washer is not receiving the signal indicating it's full. I'm not sure if this is done off of a switch or a timer. advancing the cycle results in the washer agitating, and then draining, and the refilling for the rinse. sometimes the washer will get stuck filling again, but usually operates as normal. seems to happen most frequently with hot water loads.
1 Answer Hello Dan. If you can stop the water from entering the machine by turning off the timer or unplugging the unit, you will need to look for a bad pressure hose or replace the pressure switch. If the only way to shut off the water is at the shut off for the water hoses, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit. Read More...

Jarom November 24, 2013 for Model Number lsq8243h My Whirlpool washing machine properly drains the water out of the tub. But after the pump stops the water that is in the drain hose runs back into the machine filling the tub with about an inch of nasty water that ends up getting old and smelly. What is supposed to prevent the water from returning into the tub?
1 Answer Hello Jarom. Make sure the drain hose is not to far into the pipe and that the drain hose is not air tight. Also, needs a loop higher then the bottom of the tub assembly. Read More...
