For Whirlpool Dishwasher Thermal Fuse (Part Number: OEM13269576)

Tom S. for Model Number KUDP02FRWH1

Hi again, How do I determine that the thermal fuse is open? Is it a visual inspection or do I need a multi-meter to determine this. Also, is the thermal fuse connected to the control board. I'm not looking at the part right now and I'm working memory. Thanks (Hello Tom. If the connector is melted, you will need to replace the wiring harness AP5263405 and the control board AP4309110. If the thermal fuse AP4423189 is open, you will need to replace it as well. Hope this helps)

Tom for Model Number KUDP02FRWHi

Hi, I have a Kitchenaid dishwasher, model KUDPO2FRWH1. The Control Panel Touchpad, seemed to have died...No Lights, no power. I opened up the door and noticed that the 3-pronged connector melted on one of the three terminals. I'm guessing this is the culprit. Does this mean the connector went bad, the circuit board, or both. Also, is there something else that might have caused this connection to fry? Are replacement connectors available or do I need to replace the entire wiring harness? Thanks for your help

Hello John. Based on the information you provided, you will need to replace the control panel W10810104. If some buttons work and others don't, the panel is bad on the unit. Hope this helps.

David for Model Number DU1100XTPB7

Reading your forum thought I had my problem diagnosed as a bad control board on my DU1100 Whirlpool diswasher. When it started acting up with flashing lights over the "Pots & Pans" "Normal" and "Start" buttons I got it back up and running by removing the control board and giving it and all connections a good cleaning with Radio Shack's circuit board cleaner. A few weeks the problem came back, thinking I missed something I cleaned it again, and have repeated this a number of times with less and less up time. Finally bit the bullet and purchased a new control board, installed, no blink lights and ran through a cycle flawlessly, only to have the lights come on again the next day. Took it apart to make sure I had all the connections tight, ran for half a cycle and stopped again. Since I never touched the contol panel and it would run for a while after removal, cleaning and reinstalling the board I thought I had it licked. Did not realize a new thermal fuse did not come with the board; should I order that or do I need a new touch pad panel? If the touch pad was bad is it possible that removal/reinstallation of the board could get it running for a while?

Hi David. The fastest, best thing you can do is to removethe kick panel at this point. There should be a technician diagnostic sheet in there or behind the inner panel. This will help you to put the unit in the field test since you will discover it is not hard. Clean all the spray arm jets, by removing them ,and using a pick tool. flush them out under the sink. Clean also the pump filter beneath the top pump cover. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hello Ed. You will need to test and make sure there is 120 volts at the wire connection box. If so, test and see if you have 120 volts coming to the control board WPW10084141. If there is power to the control board, and the board is not working, you will need to replace the control board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
