1 Answer Hello Terry. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. If the vent is good, check and see if the high limit WP53-0771 open, and then does not close. If so, you will need to replace the high limit. Hope this helps. Read More...

Jack P. March 29, 2011 for Model Number CDE6000W My son's dryer will not run. I opened the top and found that the T-STAT HI LIMIT p/n AP4056436 was fried. It is now a grey chauky color and falling apart. The insulation to the quick disconnect terminal going to this part is chared and has started to melt. I know I have to replace this part, but is there anything else I need to check or replace prior to installing the new part? Did this part just fail or did something cause this part to fail?
1 Answer Hello Jack. They do recommend changing the kit LA-1053. It comes with the hi limit and the thermal fuse. Be sure and check the vent for cloggs and kinks. Hope this helps. Read More...
