Attila May 08, 2015 for Model Number DLG2302W Hi me again. Question I am confused there is a thermostat next to the thermistor in this model .Its right where the exaust is going outside. its not on the back like on the other models. It looks like the Sub LA -1053 . I ordered the kit and inside was the thermostat 53-1096 high limit thermostat. Are this 2 are same or different? I am trying to figure out I know you suggested the Gas valve . And again my question is that thermostat controls the temperature when the Valve should come on when the temperature drops. and there are 2 more thermostats one under the flame sensor and the another across the flame sensor what are there functions? thanks
1 Answer Attila, The thermostat next to the thermistor on the unit would be a thermal fuse and if it fails then it will cause the unit to not operate. What causes the gas valve to cycle on and off would be the cycling thermostat, or in this case that exhaust thermistor. If the gas valve is shutting off to rapidly, check the venting of the unit and if it checks ok then the gas valve would be the most likely issue. Read More...
Ray October 08, 2013 for Model Number yg225lv flame only stays lit for 17 seconds and goes out. after some time the igniter comes on and re lights burner for only 17 seconds again. is the flame sensor bad? how do I check it? thanks in advance, Ray
1 Answer Ray, The flame sensor would have a "closed" circuit when tested "cold" (room temperature) with a multi meter and the wires disconnected from the terminals. At present, it sounds more like an air flow issue, you should disconnect the exhaust vent from the back of the dryer and check and clear any kinks, or clogs and debris from the inside of the pipes/tubes and vent hood. You also want to remove the lint trap and remove any lint or debris that has accumulated in the duct assembly, under the filter. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Steve. The thermal kit WP53-1096 on the unit should all read closed for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Grace May 17, 2012 for Model Number LNC7640A87 Replaced thermostat and fuse (by the heating element) heating element checked out ok on Norge signature 2000 LNC7640A87 and still no heat. All else works except no heat.
1 Answer Hello Grace. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. If so, unplug the wires going to the element and trace for the lose of the voltage. When you find where you lost it, that part will need to be replaced. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Rogdeb February 27, 2012 for Model Number PYE4500AYW Striped the timer will not click to engage dryer. Dryer will not work and light in drum doestn't work. Please help.
1 Answer Hello Rogdeb. For the timer issue, you will need to replace the timer WP31001513. If the unit does not start or run, you will need to test the thermal fuse LA-1053 in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
