  • Symptoms of a failing thermostat include running too hot or too cool
  • Food may bake unevenly, be undercooked/overcooked, or the oven may not reach the set temperature
  • Preheat may take excessively long or temperature may swing widely
  • Heat may not cycle off once the set temperature is reached
What's included: 1 oven thermostat Install notes:
  • Disconnect electrical power; for gas ranges also shut off the gas supply
  • Allow the oven to cool completely before service and use proper PPE
  • If your original uses a sensing bulb/capillary, route and secure it exactly as the original and avoid kinks or sharp bends
  • After installation, verify temperature with an oven thermometer and perform user calibration only if your model supports it

JC, You're on the right track. If your sure you have gas supplied to the range, and the top burners work. If you're pressing and holding the thermostat knob at least 30 seconds before attempting top light the oven pilot, then you will need to check the pilot burner gas tube and orifice for clogs and debris, then replace the thermostat. Thanks and Good Luck

Earl, Yes, the pressure regulator 74010798 controls the gas flow to both the oven and the top burners, and is the more likely issue, based on your post . Your oven thermostat operates, the oven burner only. Have you checked you LP tank(s) and lines for possible debris , kinks or damage ? You may want to start there first. Good Luck.
