Roger W April 30, 2011 for Model Number GHW9150PWO Is the Tub Outer, Part Number: AP3773841, a part that I can replace as a DIY'er? Looking at the clamps that hold the two halves together seems like you need a special tool to release those clamps. If It is a DIY project, how do the shock absorbers disconnect? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Roger. Here is a service manual for the Whirlpool Duet front load washer 8178076. It provides the information for the repair of the outer tub. You can release and install the clamps with channel lock pliers. Hope this helps. Read More...
1 Answer Hello, unfortunately the manufacturer does not sell the bearing separate from the outer tub. The bearing is pressed in by a machine when manufacturer. You will have to purchase the complete assembly to get the bearing. Thanks! Read More...

Guest February 23, 2011 On my Whirlpool Duet washer, model # GHW9100LW1, Is the "spider clamp" part of the stainless steel basket or part of the rear outer tub? I'm currently "haggling" with Whirlpool for warranty replacement parts.
