Valerie November 16, 2012 for Model Number 10651269104 Hello, Replaced the water valve (W10408180) but it did not come with the customer connect portion of water valve from the original main valve body. This portion is where we screw and connect the copper water supply line to the refrig. Called many parts places and they do not have any idea what I am talking about without a part #. Do you know the part # or what this part is actually called? Even where I could purchase it? Any feedback is definately welcomed!
1 Answer Hello Valerie. You will need to order part number 8201597 for the water line connector. Read More...

Kathy O. July 12, 2012 for Model Number ED2FHAXST00 After replacing water filter we are not getting water to the ice maker, but are getting water to the door. What do you think the problem could be?
1 Answer Hello Kathy. The first thing to check is the fill tube in the freezer and see if it is frozen and clogged. If so, you will need to thaw out the fill tube for the icemaker to work. If it is clear, you will need to test for power to the valve when the icemaker cycles. If there is none, replace the water valve on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Patrick April 29, 2012 My Kenmore side by side is dispensing water slower by the day. It does drip somewhat. I have great water flow from the house. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Patrick, My first suggestion is to change the water filter. If the water filter has been changed or by some chance there is no water filter, I would recommend to close the water valve to the unit and remove the water line from it. Place it into a bucket or a plastic trash can where it cannot come out while you turn the water on to check the water pressure to the unit. If it seems like you have sufficient water pressure there, I would at that time replace the water inlet valve. Read More...

Tim February 02, 2012 for Model Number KSRV22FVBL02 I have a kitchenaid refrigerator and the water to my door freezes up 3 days after I defrost it, I had a repairman come out and he said if that keeps up, which it has you need to replace your the water valve. Does this valve operate both the water in the door and the ice maker? My ice maker still works great. Is there 2 valves in this part?
1 Answer Hello Tim. Check and make sure the temperature inside the freezer is around 0. If it is to cold, it will freeze the water line in the door. If the temperature is correct, then the fan motor needs to be check and make sure it is running properly. It does not sounds like the water valve W10822681 in the unit. The valve does have 2 separate valves for the ice maker and the dispenser. Hope this helps. Read More...
