Jesse June 12, 2024 for Model Number WRF736SDAM11 The mullion on the left door is too low and is no longer aligning with the track at the top. There is a door alignment but it's only on the right door. Is there a way to adjust the left door or the mullion so that it glides into the track at the top? It needs to be raised about 1/4 of an inch to properly align. I can lift the door up and down so it feels like I should be able to raise it but I don't know how.
1 Answer Jesse, Check to make sure the refrigerator cabinet is level, if the cabinet is racked/warped it can cause an alignment issue. Then check the hinge and door to make sure nothing is worn out. Read More...

John J March 25, 2018 for Model Number jfc2089hep3 The vertical mullion on our Jenn-Air is not hitting the guide at the top, the moves it to the closed position. It is about 1/16" lower than the guide. Is there an adjustment to raise the door so they the mullion engages? Looking at the top corners of the doors when closed, he left door seems to be about 1/8" lower than the right.
2 Answers John, There should be an adjustment for the door on the unit which will allow the door to be raised. If you cannot find them then you will want to adjust the level of the unit which will allow the door to adjust and raise the door to the correct level. Read More...

2 Answers John, Check and make sure all four leveling legs/rollers are on solid flooring, make sure the refrigerator is level in both directions(or slightly higher in front(1/4"), check the center hinge(lower hinge) to be tight and mounted properly. Check the left door lower door bushing WP67002721 for excess wear and replace and lubricate as necessary. You will then need to adjust the left front leveling leg/roller until the doors are aligned. Bernard January 27, 2018 for Model Number JFC2087HRS The vertical mullion is hot and the fresh food compartment is not cooling. The freezer is at normal temperature and the fan is blowing cold air. There damper is open but no cold air coming thru.
1 Answer Bernard, You will want to remove the rear wall in the freezer compartment and then will want to check to see if the evaporator coils are iced up. If the evaporator is iced up then you will want to test the defrost heater and defrost thermostat to make sure that they have continuity. If this checks ok then the control will be the issue. The control part number is WPW10503278. Read More...
Jay March 12, 2015 for Model Number EF36BNDFSS The vertical mullion on my Dacor EF36BNDFSS refrigerator door no longer moves properly when closing the left door (have to force it to close). I found the part on your website (12722803B) and am reasonably handy with small home repairs. Just not sure how the old one is removed and the new one installed. Can you walk me through it? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Jay, There should be a screw retaining the assembly. Upon removal, it should slip up and off of the hinge points, allowing access to the electrical connection. Once it is removed, it will be loose from the unit. Install in the reverse order. Read More...
Kevin February 01, 2014 for Model Number Amana AFD2535DES The top is not cool, the bottom is over cold. Is the fan switch in the Vertical Mullion, that may be causing the fan not to go on? I noticed that the vertical mullion is actually hot. Might it be contributing to the inoperation of the refrigerator?
1 Answer Hello Kevin. It sounds like you may have a defrost problem with the unit. Check and see if there is any frost build up on the evaporator coils in the freezer. If so, you will need to test the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat. They should read closed for continuity when cold. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. I will include a link at the end to assist you how to use the multi-meter if needed. If both parts are good, you will need to replace the defrost timer. Once the problem is repaired, you will need to thaw out the ice on the coils before the unit will operate properly. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Carol C. January 22, 2014 for Model Number Kbfa25erss01 Can I replace the vertical mullion hinge seal myself? Is it difficult?
1 Answer Hello Carol, You can certainly change this part. There will be one screw holding it so it cannot slip off of the retention clips. It will slip straight up and off of the clips. Once you unplug one wire harness, it will be loose from the appliance. The new part installs in the reverse order. Read More...
