Chikaya November 12, 2012 for Model Number LA5300XSN0 My washer works just fine but its leaking cold water and you can hear the water running like a facuet has been left on. The only way to stop the water from running is to turn it off at the spout. I've a few things that say its the water inlet valve but the person I purchased it from seems to think its the water pump. Please help.
1 Answer Hello Chikaya, If the water doesn't go off when the unit is unplugged it is not an electrical issue on the unit. If the water only stops when the faucet is turned off, the issue is the water inlet valve 285805. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Tony. If you can stop the water from entering the machine by turning off the timer or unplugging the unit, you will need to look for a bad pressure hose or replace the pressure switch. If the only way to shut off the water is at the shut off for the water hoses, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit. Read More...
Stacy October 24, 2012 for Model Number LXR9445JQ1 Our washer is not filling right. The water trickles in and takes awhile to fill then everything else is great. We have checked the hoses and everything looks good. We have a whirlpool mod# lxr9445jq1 and ser. # cl2425405 type 107. We had a repair person came and work on the dryer and he tipped the washer forward alot to get behind it and to get the dryer back in place. Dryer heating elements were broken and replaced. But when he put the washer back and left . Went to use the washer and the water was not coming in but a trickle. My husband looked at it and the water is turned on full and when you turn the knob on washer to hot almost no water and some with cold but on warm you get a alittle more than a trickle and it takes 20 minutes or more to fill. Do you have any suggestions what might be the problem? Thanks-stacy

Willie M. October 06, 2012 My washer works fine until it reaches the rinse cycle. It does not fill back up with water and it makes a noise that sounds like a motor is running. What can I do?
1 Answer Hello Willie, Check the screens in your cold water inlet valve and check for water pressure to the cold valve. You see, the rinse cycle fills only with cold water so this is the first suspect. If the water pressure is fine and voltage is getting to the valve when the unit should fill with cold water and it doesn't fill with cold water, the valve will be the issue. If the valve you were looking at is for the correct model, the 285805 will correct the issue. Read More...
