Tony H. May 11, 2011 for Model Number LA3300XP My cold water suddenly stop flowing into the washer. Almost everytime I try to start it on Cold/Cold it will allow a split second of cold water to flow. I've detached the cold water hose: the water flows freely and as far as I can tell the screen is clean of debri. I don't have a multimeter and was wondering if it sounds like the water inlet valve is bad. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Tony. If the valve works on hot, but not on cold, you will need to replace the water valve 285805. Hope this helps. Read More...
Scott May 09, 2011 for Model Number lxr6232eq0 I have determined that I need to replace the water inlet valve but am having problems figuring out how to get to it. I assume I need to remove the back panel of the washer but am not sure exactly how. Please advise. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Scott. Remove the two screws on the front bottom corners of the control panel and flip the control panel backward. Then release the two brass colored clips holding the cabinet to the back panel and unplug the lid switch. Pull the cabinet forward to remove it from the machine. Now you will be able to access the water valve. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps. Read More...
Rob May 08, 2011 for Model Number LSQ9010KQ0 I have a water leak on my washer. I believe it is coming out of the pump, but why would the drain pump leak just by cutting the water on to the washer?. I dont mean filling it I mean just cutting on the valve for the water supply. I assume that I may have another issue besides a leaking pump. How is water making it to the drain pump with the tub empty?
1 Answer Hello Rob It sounds like you have two problems here. You will need to replace the pump WP3363394 to fix the pump leaking, and you will need to replace the water valve 285805 to fix the valve from leaking into the tub. If the valve is bad, it can leak into the tub with the machine off. The only way to stop it is to shut the water off to the washer. Hope this helps Read More...

Dyna D. April 16, 2011 for Model Number 110-92491210 I am trying to determine if my water inlet valve is faulty or if my water level switch is bad. Cold water issue only so I assume it would have to be water inlet valve as water level switch if failing would fail in either hot or cold, correct? Also, as the washer the progressess from fill to wash, the machine wouldn't be able to progress to "wash" if the water level switch didn't "satisfy" or "make" connection correct? Therefore the water level switch must be good if when the drum is appropriately full and the machine progressess to "wash", correct? That would lead to holding that the water inlet valve is in fact faulty, correct?
1 Answer Hello Dyna! You are correct. If the cold water is not filling on your washer you will need to replace the water valve. Your part number is 285805. Thanks. Read More...
