Tj for Model Number RAX4232KQ0

My Roper by Whirlpool will not fill with cold water. As the machine was filling with warm-water, suddenly the only water coming in was hot... The washer has worked great until this time (not moved recently or any other changes) There is an adequate cold water supply, and the filter is clean. Could there be a problem other than the water-inlet valve? Could just the "cold" go out? Your time and advise is greatly appreciated! Also, any preventative measures I can take at this time, as the washer is just over 10 years old?? Thanks again, -TJ

Hello TJ. Yes, the cold can go out and just the hot will work. It sounds like your dealing with a bad inlet valve. Hope this helps.
