Dennis March 27, 2011 for Model Number 110.28812790 Already cleaned the screens inside the water inlet valve and still cold water trickles in when filling the wash machine with cold water. Could it still be the water inlet valve that needs to be replaced? Is it worn out and/or stopped up or just bad? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Dennis. If the screen is clear then it does sound like you are going to have to replace the inlet valve. Part number 285805 should get you up and running. Hope this helps. Read More...
Dennis March 27, 2011 for Model Number 110.28812790 On cold cycle the cold water trickles out. Takes over an hour to fill the washer machine on cold cycle. Hot and warm water fills fast. Is it the water inlet valve causing the cold water to come out slow into the tub? Or just an old wash machine(about 20 years old)?
1 Answer Hello Dennis. It's possible the inlet valve is bad. You might want to take the water line off and make sure the screen is clean. Sometimes the screen gets clogged and restricts the water. Hope this helps. Read More...

Guest March 14, 2011 for Model Number 110.27822790 Water olny fills up halfway. If you turn the knob and hold it between the third and fourth spot, it will fill up a little more, but not all the way? Is it the water valve?

Tj March 14, 2011 for Model Number RAX4232KQ0 My Roper by Whirlpool will not fill with cold water. As the machine was filling with warm-water, suddenly the only water coming in was hot... The washer has worked great until this time (not moved recently or any other changes) There is an adequate cold water supply, and the filter is clean. Could there be a problem other than the water-inlet valve? Could just the "cold" go out? Your time and advise is greatly appreciated! Also, any preventative measures I can take at this time, as the washer is just over 10 years old?? Thanks again, -TJ
1 Answer Hello TJ. Yes, the cold can go out and just the hot will work. It sounds like your dealing with a bad inlet valve. Hope this helps. Read More...
