Teke November 10, 2011 for Model Number MAV7504EWW I spoke to a great customer service agent, Curtis, who assisted me with part # AP4027832 as advised over the phone by a local repairman for my Maytag Atlantis top load. The problem: The water was not cutting off after the spin cycle, and now not cutting off going into the wash mode. Was able to turn both water valves off and drain the washer, no problem. I was told this is a water valve issue. Question: Could it be a water pump issue? Please advise and of the part # as I may want to have it on hand just in case when the repairman arrives. #2 Problem: Washer seems load during the wash cycle in general- tub seems to be aligned- no matter what the size load. Is this a BELT ISSUE? thank you for your help and response here- I would like to order all parts today to ship this afternoon. Much appreciated
1 Answer Hello Teke. If you can turn off the machine and stop the water, then it is not the valves. However, based on what you said, you have to turn the water off to stop the water. If so, the water valve WP22004333 is bad and will need to be replaced. It is not the pump causing the problem you are having. Hope this helps. Read More...
Steve M. October 31, 2011 for Model Number MAW6548AWW The washer does not fill either hot or cold. Is it the water valve or could it be something to do with the inlet hoses?
1 Answer Hello Steve. You will need to check the hoses and the screens for clogs. If they are good, and there is power coming tot he water valve, you will need to replace the water valve. If there is no power to the water valve, you will need to check the lid switch and the pressure switch. Hope this helps. Read More...
John Morris September 24, 2011 for Model Number MAV9657EWW Maytag Ensignia 7-Speed Select washer The only water that I am getting is hot water. If I select cold/cold, or warm/cold, I get nothing. If I select hot/cold, I get hot water in the tub but it stops at the rinse cycle and will not give me cold water. From all I am reading it sounds like this water valve. Please confirm. Thanks.
1 Answer Hi John. Sounds to me like you need the water valve part # is WP22004333. The upper injector / thermister is part # 22004347. But it sounds more that the inlet valve is defective if you no longer get any cold water at all. Thank you. Read More...
