The drive clutch cable is a clutch or engagement cable that tightens the drive belt or lifts the spinning friction disc contained within the drive housing. It will cause contact between the driveshaft and turn the wheels. If the wheels refuse to turn, it may be due to a cable that is damaged, loose, or snapped. If tightening the tension fails to yield results, this OEM replacement cable is needed. Replacing a drive clutch cable is fairly easy. Remove the original and use pliers and a socket set to install and tighten the new one. "This is a drive clutch cable designed for use in snowblowers produced by MTD, Craftsman, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Yard Machines, Huskee, Yard-Man, and others. It ships individually and is made of rubber, wire, and metal.
Slide shoes, otherwise known as skid shoes, are attached to a snowblower to help protect the concrete it moves over. The slide shoe also helps to protect the underside of the snowblower. They are composed of metal and are attached to the bottom of the machine. With use, the slide shoes may wear down. They can also become defective from accidents while operating the snow throwing machine. When the slide shoes are not working correctly, there can be irreversible damage done to both the snowblower and the concrete. Replacement slide shoes can easily be attached to the bottom of a snowblower. Be sure to allow the machine to cool down completely. It's recommended to set the snowblower on top of a piece of cardboard. Remove the old shoes and install the new ones, tightening all nuts and washers while the skid shoe is flat on the ground. This is a manufacturer supplied OEM MTD snowblower slide shoe. Each shoe is sold separately. The slide shoe is made of high-quality, durable black steel. It is suggested to replace both shoes simultaneously to ensure an even and consistent path for the MTD snowblower.
This light bulb is designed for use with outdoor lawn and garden power equipment such as lawn mowers, snow blowers, and snow throwers. It is compatible with products made by Craftsman, MTD, Columbia, Husky, Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, White Outdoor, and Troy-Bilt.This light bulb attaches to the light socket in a mower or blower and illuminates the area in front of the machine. The purpose of the light bulb is to make the machine operable even when light is sparse. For example, if someone is mowing their lawn at dusk and it gets too dark to see the yard, they'll need a functioning light bulb to finish the job. This is also an important piece for snow blowers because even if it isn't nighttime, a dense snowfall can greatly limit visibility. A light bulb on the front of the machine can make the task less overwhelming when the environment is dark or if visibility is otherwise limited. To replace a broken bulb, unscrew the bad bulb and screw the new one in. No extensive technical knowledge of the machine is required for a simple light bulb replacement. This light bulb is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer, and it is sold individually. It is manufactured by MTD.
This belt is used for snowblowers. When the machine is running, the belt turns and propels the auger, which then blows the snow through the chute. If the belt is broken or otherwise not functioning properly, the snowblower will not work. The belt may need to be replaced for any number of reasons. It could become damaged while in use, although this is rare. Over time, the belt could start to stretch and weaken. It may not longer provide the same level of efficiency as when it was new. There is also the chance that the belt could snap. When replacing the belt, it is recommended that the owner also clean the pulleys. This can prevent premature wear and tear. This snowblower belt is for use with many models from MTD, Yard Machines, Cub Cadet, and Troy-Bilt. The belt is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced from the manufacturer. It is sold individually.
Snowblowers are an essential bit of machinery for those who live in areas with heavy winter weather. The machines use an auger to turn and pull snow into the impeller assembly. The machines are typically self-propelled and must be put into gear to begin moving forward. This is done through a drive system that relies on a control lever and clutch cable that triggers the auger or wheels to turn. When that clutch cable is broken, the machine will not function. This replacement clutch cable is designed for snowblowers made by Craftsman, MTD, and other brands. It works with track, drive or traditional machines. This is an OEM replacement part that will require a nut driver for installation. It ships individually but includes all hardware necessary for a safe and effective installation.
This impeller is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on snowblowers to move snow that has accumulated and is a safety hazard. The impeller rotates to pull the snow up and out a discharge chute. If snow is not blowing out of the blower, the impeller should be checked to ensure it is rotating. If the impeller is not rotating, it will need to be removed and replaced for the blower to function properly.Remove the spark plug from the machine and drain the gas from the engine. Disconnect the control cables and separate the engine of the blower from the blower itself. Remove the auger to access the impeller. Remove the impeller from the blower and install the new one. Reassemble the snowblower and refill the gas. Put the spark plug back in and fire up the engine to test the new impeller. This impeller is sold as an individual unit. It is designed for use in snowblowers that are manufactured by MTD, Yard Machines, Yard-Man, Troy-Bilt, Husky, and Cub Cadet.
This part is a spark plug that is used on a number of lawn and garden power equipment. A spark plug is used as part of an internal combustion engine. The spark plug delivers the electric current from the ignition system to the engine.A new spark plug may be needed after normal wear and tear over a period of time. The operator of the outdoor power equipment may notice that the engine misfires or it is difficult to start. If this is the case, a new spark plug will be needed. Never perform care and maintenance on outdoor power equipment that is powered on. Remember to wear gloves when operating or performing care and maintenance on any outdoor power equipment. This spark plug is a genuine MTD part. It is sold individually. This particular spark plug is compatible with various outdoor power equipment that are manufactured by MTD, Yard Machines, Troy-Bilt, Bolens, Yard-Man, and Cub Cadet.
This part is a replacement friction wheel assembly. It is intended to replace a defective or broken friction wheel assembly in snow blowers. The friction wheel works with the friction disc to turn the drive wheel axle. This part is essential to proper equipment functionality but may be damaged with regular equipment usage. Before beginning this repair job, disconnect spark plug. Wear work gloves to protect the hands and check that equipment is powered off and cooled down before beginning. This friction wheel assembly is a genuine MTD OEM part made of durable materials and is sold individually. It is suitable for use with snow blower models that have been manufactured by MTD, Craftsman, Troy-Bilt, and some other brands.
This replacement is a friction wheel assembly that is designed to work with a snow blower. The friction wheel engages the friction disc assembly to assist in the forward and rearward travel movement of the snowblower. If the friction wheel becomes worn or damaged, the snowblower moves slowly or erratically. Prior to the start of this project, ensure all appropriate personal protective equipment is worn. This would include work gloves and eye protection. To replace this part, first disconnect the spark plug wire. Then, remove the frame cover and wheels. Next, remove the hex shaft mounting nut and the friction disc. Clean the shaft and install the new friction disc. Reinstall the wheels and the frame panel. Reconnect the spark plug and test the snowblower. The snowblower is now ready for use.To clean the friction wheel assembly, remove the cover of the snowblower to expose the friction wheel. With all PPE donned, take a cloth with a small amount of gas saturated on it and place it over the friction wheel. Spin the wheels to engage the friction wheel. The gas saturated cloth will work by cleansing the grease off the friction wheel. Once there is no more grease coming off the friction wheel, take a dry cloth and repeat the steps to dry the friction wheel assembly. Replace the frame cover and the snowblower is ready for use. The friction wheel assembly is manufactured and compatible with MTD, Craftsman, Troy-Bilt, Noma, Murray, Ariens, Husqvarna, Snapper and Yard Man snowblowers. This is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer and it is sold individually.
This is a replacement skid shoe for Craftsman snowblowers. Ideally, when one shoe becomes so worn that it needs to be replaced, the other shoe should be replaced as well. Replacement is not difficult and should only require about half an hour. First, take out the key and disconnect the plug wire to prevent the machine from starting during repair. Remove the carriage bolts, nuts, and washers that hold the skid shoes in place. Replace the skid shoes. Ensure that the adjustable skids shoes are elevated enough that the snow blades will not collide with the ground during use. This will prolong the life of the shave plate. This OEM part fits a variety of different snowblowers made by Craftsman, Cub Cadet, Ryobi, Troy-Bilt, Yard Machines, MTD, Huskee, Montgomery Wards, Bolens, Yard-Man. Sold individually. The carriage bolts that hold the shoe in place may also need to be replaced and are sold separately.
A cotter pin, also known as a hitch pin, is used to secure pins and shafts in place. Meant for snowblowers, riding lawnmowers, and lawn tractors, this bow-tie shaped cotter pin has a double-end design making it easy to pull or push through either side of a pre-drilled hole. This pin snaps into a locked position without tension, keeping it secure during operation. Designed for lawn and garden maintenance equipment, this part ensures secure fastening. If the power equipment is used frequently, cotter pins may have to be replaced regularly so it would be practical to keep extra bow tie cotter pins on hand. It is highly recommended that work gloves be worn during the installation of this part. This part is compatible with Craftsman, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Murray, Yard Machines, MTD, Huskee, Bolens, Yard-Man, and MasterCut brands of lawn mower, snowblower, and log splitters. This is a genuine OEM replacement part that is sold individually.
The shear pin’s purpose is to stop the engine when it is broken. If the machinery hits something hard, the shear pin will break. This prevents injuries that could be fatal. If something large or small becomes clogged or jammed in the auger, the shear pin is meant to snap in half, rendering the auger useless. This happens once the auger reaches a certain point in pressure load, which also prevents damage to the rest of your equipment. The auger part of your machinery cannot turn without a shear pin. Since the purpose of the shear pin is to break on impact, it's a good idea to have several of these on hand for quick replacements. There’s nothing like having your equipment break down in the middle of a job. Repair is simple. Just remove the broken shear pin, line up the auger’s holes, and insert your new shear pin. Use the cotter pin to secure your shear pin. This genuine OEM auger shear pin works in conjunction with small engine equipment with augers made by Craftsman, Cub Cadet, MTD, Troy-Built, Yard Machines, and Yard-Man. This part is sold individually. Consider also ordering an MTD Pin-Bow Tie Cotter or retaining clip.
