Replacement igniter switch that restores spark ignition for gas cooktops and ranges, helping burners light reliably and reducing intermittent or no-ignite symptoms. Designed as a like-for-like control component when your original switch fails. What it does:
I changed out the white burners for black ones which will be easier to clean. This is a simple matter of removing two screws on each burner. The one igniter switch turned out to be okay, but was not fully seated on the valve shaft. As to lighting off issues, the new burners helped, but the most improvement came from removing the burners and cleaning the orifices that supply gas to the burner tubes with a bit of fine wire. The purpose of the fuel nipple in a small engine is to clean the fuel before it reaches the carburetor. If the fuel is dirty, it could cause issues with the carburetor and other parts of the engine. If the engine misfires, has a fuel odor, leaks, or has problems with dirty fuel getting into the carburetor, it may be time to replace the fuel nipple. It is an easy replacement, but be sure to work in a well-ventilated area. Drain the fuel tank and disconnect the spark plug before beginning this repair. This OEM fuel nipple is a genuine part right from the manufacturer. This fuel nipple can work well for snowblowers, snow throwers, chippers, tillers, and log splitters. It is compatible with a range of models from brands like Craftsman, Yard Machines, Yard-Man, MTD, and Troy-Bilt.
A gas powered engine often requires priming before it can run, which means injecting some of the fuel into the engine's carburetor. Here, a careful balance of air and gas will receive a spark that causes combustion. The most common way to prime an engine is to use a primer assembly that is activated by a bulb that is pressed to create suction and draw fuel into a reservoir or carburetor. This replacement fuel bulb is for snowblowers that rely on gas powered engines to run. The fuel bulb is very flexible and made to endure seasonal conditions. It works with Craftsman, Yard Machines, MTD, Troy Bilt, and Bolens snowblowers. This is an OEM replacement part that fits into the cover assembly and which requires only a wrench to replace and install. It is sold individually, and other components of the priming assembly may be needed.
The fuel line is used to carry fuel through the machine, and it must be in good condition. As fuel line parts age, they are prone to damage. In some cases, they might crack, which could result in a fuel leak. Other times, the ends of the tube might not fit properly, even when they are clamped down. Eventually, the fuel line will need to be replaced. This is a relatively simple job, which will require only a pair of pliers to complete. This replacement fuel line kit is sold individually. This OEM kit will include the rubber tube as well as two metal clamps for attaching the line to the machine. The fuel line may be used with snowblowers, lawnmowers, tillers, leaf blowers, log splitters, wood chippers, and other small engines, It will work with machines from many different brands, including MTD, Yard Machines, Troy-Bilt, Yard-Man, Bolens, Cub Cadet, and Husky.
This choke bracket is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on snowblowers. The choke control bracket opens or closes the choke plate in the carburetor to help start the engine. The choke should be closed when getting it ready to work. Closing it shuts the air intake and keeps the gas mixture richer, which helps the engine fire up when it is cold. If the choke bracket is rusted or broken and is working, the choke may not work correctly. The engine may not start or may run roughly when it does start. If this happens, the choke bracket should be replaced. Before replacing the choke bracket, remove the spark plug and empty the gas from the snowblower. Wear safety gloves and safety glasses. Locate the choke and remove the screws holding it in place. Remove and discard it and install the new bracket. Use the screws from the original bracket to secure the bracket. Reinstall the fuel and spark plug. This choke bracket is a silver metal part that is sold individually; it does not come with screws or bolts. It is designed for use in snowblowers manufactured by Craftsman and MTD.
This carburetor is a genuine MTD part. A carburetor is a tube that filters the air and fuel through the valves of the engine. This carburetor works with small engine devices such as snowblowers and lawn mowers. Natural wear and tear from the usage of an engine over a long period of time can cause the individual components within the engine to malfunction or fall into disrepair. The longer that a carburetor is in use without replacement, the more likely it is to become damaged or weakened, which will require a swift replacement. Signs of weakening infrastructure for which the carburetor might be responsible can include an engine that frequently stalls or will not start, a clotted fuel bowl blocked by dirt and gunk that results in overflowing fuel through the engine's vents, a poor ratio of air and fuel that results in wheezing, hissing, or popping engine noises, or a poor ratio of air and fuel that results in black smoke pouring out of the engine. Any of these symptoms in an engine will require the immediate replacement of the carburetor.
