Bought a used Frigidaire 36 inch stove. The broiler didn't come on but the burners lit and the stove worked so I made do for about 4 or 5 years with that. Then the F10 code came up and it wouldn't stop beeping until I unplugged it. I figured the electronics/circuit board was probably bad and ordered a replacement. Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. Had to pull double oven and range top out from wall which involved removing the upper kitchen cabinet. Took the sheet metal off the back and had the socket swapped out in a couple of minutes. My old oven works like a charm! Read more

The employee I worked with first thought my problem might be the plastic part the tray rest upon. she sent a photo of it and it matched the one I currently had. She ten sent a photo of the tray. • Door stuck closed

Turn off breaker, remove all screws { 4 on mine } inside oven door holding oven and microwave to kitchen cabinet and slide oven assembly out of cabinet {on to a temporary shelf of {4} 5 gallon buckets/plywood/bricks/shims that I made on the floor atop a scrap of carpet} just enough to access the side and rear screws of microwave's protective metal housing, then remove a total of 16 screws { there were 2 screws just inside top of "opened" microwave door that were holding top flat silver metal... Turned off power to oven. Removed the oven door. Unscrewed and removed the metal plate. Pulled element off wires and attached them to the new element. (This took needle nose pliers and many attempts. Needed dexterous fingers and good eyesight.) Put everything back. Read more

I diagnosed this problem via the web and the advice was spot on. The problem was a failure of the bottom door switch. I used a multimeter to verify that the switched never closed properly. It took me a minute to figure out how to remove the old switch (press a release tab under the switch while simultaneously rotating counter-clockwise). Micro stopped working with accompanying loud hum and burning smell. Pulled out of cabinet (micro/stove combo by Electrolux) and found blown (and partially melted) magnetron. Easily found exact replacement on Appliance Parts Pros--ordered, and had micro back working in 2 days! Great search engine and pictures of parts are so helpful;. Have ordered from these folks in the past and will probably do it again. $100 part versus big cost for repair service or a replacement. Read more

This was an easy fix. Some disassembly of the top of stove and burners. Once exposed I took old switch out and snapped new one in. Worked perfectly! Read more

After getting error code and doing a bit of research, I decided to order the part and replace myself. Part took about three days to get. With the help of a instructional video online, I took my Kenmore Elite gas stove top apart. Other than removing stubborn screws, the latch motor was an easy fix. Read more
