It is difficult (if not impossible) to remove the electronic switches from the hard plastic latches. I replaced all three switches and both the upper and lower latches I also replaced the main 20 amp ceramic fuse which blew out when the latch/switches failed. Read more

Ordered Genuine Whirlpool parts from Appliance Parts Pros and had them in 3 days. Replaced fan motor and squirrel cage assembly. Having never taken a microwave apart it took longer to disassemble than replace the part. Whirlpool did change a couple micro switches on door interlock so you have to switch them out from the old interlock or put new wire terminals on wires to use new ones. Read more
