Replacement nut and bolt fastener for laundry center components. Secures panels, brackets, and assemblies. Order when hardware is missing or stripped.
This was some repair! My SG1000 stackable is over 30 years old and was purchased second hand. I've replaced many parts in the dryer section, but besides a water inlet, this was my first repair to the washer. All of a sudden it started making a terrible noise and was not agitating the clothes. The spin cycle worked fine. I first replaced the two belts on the bottom, but when I removed the old ones I realized they did not look terribly worn and weren't the cause. Many stories on here indicated... Read more

I had a lot of problems removing the spin hub, I had to use an air impact wrench to un screw it even then it was very hard, it did not go easy with the hammer & pipe wrench as shown in the video. It was also very hard to remove the bottom spin bearing I had to cut the bearing retainer with a dremel tool so I could get my puller on it. After I struggled to get it apart The repair went very easy, I used brake spring pliers to remove the springs it worked like a charm. I am very pleased with... Read more

Secures the wash basket to the center shaft. Replace if stripped, cracked, or missing to prevent tub movement and noise. Left-hand thread design.
I took the wash basket out of the tub to remove all the sludge and scale that had accumulated over the years. But I did not have a spanner wrench to remove the large nut holding the basket to the center shaft. No problem - I used a hammer and chisel on the ears. But didn't realize it was a LEFT HAND THREAD!! That's when the nut split in two and I had no choice but to purchase another. Long story short, it's back together and the washer doesn't smell anymore. Live and learn... Read more

Fix a loose or slipping agitator that clicks or ratchets during wash cycles. This spring restores proper tension inside the agitator assembly.
Found the wonderful parts diagrams you most generously share online and a couple of YouTube videos . I determined it should be repairable. In my cast the agitator shaft was frozen (rusted) in place. I was very fortunate to have been able to eventually remove it with the use of a lot of BP penetrating oil and heat. Long and short the replacement parts fit perfectly and the washer is running like new. Special thanks to the online support make my repair possible. Read more

Washer won't fill properly or overflows? This water level pressure switch senses tub water and signals when to stop filling. Moderate DIY repair.
Since there was no water entering the machine and the machine will not start until the water level is satisfied, I concentrated on the water level switch. I disconnected the power first, then I jumped the normally open contacts on the water level switch, connected the power and the machine became operable. Ordered a water level switch from Appliance Pros, installed and the machine works great. The cost of the part was about $65.00. I was about to buy new washer at Sears for $500.00. Thanks... Read more

Removed the agitator, then the spacer and lock screw, then the inside tub, then the mounting stem I replaced the agitator collar to fix the issue The hardest part on this project was removing the locks with the spanner wrench. It is not easy to break loose if the machine has never been repaired in 15 years. You need the rubber hammer and really hit hard to get loose. This is what took the longest. (Approximately 1 hour for me) Read more
