This replacement part is a snack pan slide rail, and it is intended for use in different types of appliances. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. This part is able to hold up other trays and racks in the refrigerator and freezer so that extra shelf space can be utilized. These slide rails can also hold up trays that can support heavy bottles and drinks. A new snack pan slide rail might be needed if the current ones have become stripped and are unable to latch onto the shelving to support it. It is common that these parts can become brittle over time as exposure to low temperature wears down the plastic. Swapped it out for new tube. Take 5 minutes and zero effort. The drain tube will clog with mold. You can clean it out but the tube will clog again despite's you best efforts as the tube wall provide a great habitat. Ordered new tubes to facilitate swap-outs. Old tubes can be cleaned but will recolonize quickly. Read more
