Very easy fix. I removed all the shelving at the bottom of the fridge to facilitate access. Two screws easily removed and the new rail re-installed. Good opportunity to clean the bottom of the fridge. Thanks APP!. Your price was almost 50% less anyone else. Delivery was fast. Can't do better than that.

Frig was freezing up around the coils Steve H. • Moyock , NC • February 10, 2019
Replaced the heater, easy job. Had to cut the old one out based on how it was installed. The new one needed to have the wiring rerouted. Zip tie in place
The only issue is it needs the little metal strip that attaches to the heater. I had ordered one, so no problem. There is no hardware included to clamp it on. It is predrilled, so a small screw did the trick. Hopefully this is fixed.. wait and see

Replaces the freezer evaporator defrost heater to melt frost and keep the evaporator fins clear during the defrost cycle, helping restore proper airflow and more consistent cooling when frost or ice builds up. What it does:
- Heats the evaporator fins during the defrost cycle to remove accumulated frost and ice.
- Common symptom: visible frost or ice buildup on evaporator coils or freezer walls.
- Other symptoms: reduced cooling performance or fluctuating/freezer temperatures that may indicate a defrost failure.
- Works as the heating element in the refrigerator's defrost system to prevent recurring frost accumulation.
What's included: One defrost heater. Install notes:
- Always disconnect power to the appliance before servicing to avoid shock or injury.
- Heater mounts near or on the freezer evaporator; access typically requires removing interior panels and the evaporator cover.
- Inspect wiring and connectors for damage; test the old heater for continuity before replacement.
