- Failure can result in no heat, low heat/long dry times, or heat that doesn't cycle correctly
- May cause intermittent shutdowns due to temperature issues
What's included: 1 cycling thermostat Install notes:
- Disconnect power; if gas, also shut off gas supply before servicing
- Thermostat is typically mounted on the blower housing or exhaust duct
- Note/transfer wires to the same terminals and secure the thermostat with existing screws; ensure it seats flush to the housing
- After replacement, clean lint buildup and verify proper vent airflow to avoid repeat temperature problems

It was taking unusually long to dry a typical load Robert L. • Williamsburg , VA • November 15, 2014
I removed the front panel and observed the heating element while running the dryer. It was cycling off every minute or so and staying off for several minutes. Even though it was likely the high temp cycling thermostat I replaced both the 14, and 15 cycling thermostats which I think are the original factory units. That makes them nearly 35 years old. Problem fixed.

Dryer stopped heating Mark L. • Parkersburg , WV • March 30, 2020
Our heating element had broken coils. Typed model number in to see which parts were likely to fix the problem. AppliancePartsPros told me exactly which parts to try. For the cost, it seemed the best decision was to order the complete Heating Element Assembly, rather than risk needing the two smaller parts as well. Decided to order new vent as well. The parts arrived super fast and the on-site video showed step-by-step how to install the new part. From diagnosis to drying laundry in less than 48...

Control board shorted out during drying cycle with a series of loud popping noises creating a blackened corner of the dishwasher door a pungent electircal fire smell and tripped circuit breaker Charles L. • Concord , MA • November 01, 2014
Replaced the control board after removing the inner door liner, plastice board cover and board itself, by removing screws, working various plastic clips/tabs and unclipping wire harnesses from board. most of time was spent cleaning the black soot from the door, which had a terrible burnt electrical/plastic fire smell. Cleaned mold/scale off of as much of the door as I could while in there as well. Removing parts without breaking plastic tabs to hold the new parts was trickiest part.

The siphon break got broken during our move Barb H. • Castle Rock , CO • April 15, 2017
I have a Maytag washer that is over 30 years old and still runs like a top. When the siphon break got destroyed in our move, I was able to find a replacement kit that fixed our problem. I found a video on UTube that showed us just what to do. I'm delighted I didn't have to buy a new washer since the quality of new ones doesn't hold a candle to the quality of my Maytag.

Whirlpool shaking Willy P. • Victorville , CA • May 19, 2019
Weekend laundry became very noisy, our 1987 Whirlpool washer began doing a dance across the floor and the drum was banging into the inner cabinet. After doing some research and watching a few videos on Appliance parts pros website. I inspected the washer and noticed one leg the rubber coating disintegrated, decided to change all four legs, springs and lid switch. Hardest part of the job is getting the cabinet together. Ops check good.
