Spoke with Stephanie on the chat window, she was able to confirm the control board was likely defective. Ordered, shipped as promised, got my part in a few days, 15 mins later we were back drying clothes. Took the top cover off the dryer, the control board is in a metal (heat?) shield to the front-left of the unit (facing you). Pay close attention to plug the right cables / connectors / right order. Replaced motor assembly. Also replaced drum belt since I was in there. Change out was SIMPLE, Full motor assembly came as one piece, saved a ton of time from having to disasemble the motor only. Total time was less then 45min. Read more
Checked all thermal fuses and replaced. - Still no good Replaced Main Board - Still no good Tested motor and did not get good ohm readings so replaced Motor unit - Still no good Checked voltage coming to back of dryer - one phase was 0 volts and the other was 220. Due to manufacturer changes, the idler assembly is no longer included. If needed use part number DC93-00634A. For the motor bracket only use part number DC61-01213A.

Locally, no one seemed to want to help (two appliance reapir parts shops). I called the client and told them I would have to look around some, got on line ordered it and it was here in 48hrs. Pretty exensive fix for me but a happy client. Read more
At first I thought it was the dryer belt. The drum would spin freely with no resistance. I went to Youtube to find a instructional video on how to change the belt. After a few short steps on had access to the dryer belt. To my dismay it wasn't the belt at all. I realized after doing a quick inspection that the idler wheel used to put tension on the belt had broken and was causing the issues.
