Googled the symptoms and realized it was probably the Start Relay. To check, I unplugged the refrigerator, took off the back panel, and pulled the old start relay off. I shook it and it rattled, like something was broken inside. That was the sign that it did indeed need to be replaced. Looked up the part on www.appliancepartpros.com and found it. I replaced the Ice Dispenser Lever. Since the replacement part is only available in white and my fridge is bone, I replaced also the Water Dispenser Lever, so it looks much better. I followed the instructions in the video, which were very useful and very well done. My problem was that the refrigerator is a KitchenAid built-in, while the instructions were for a Whirlpool, so the removal of the faceplate was quite different from what was shown in the video and more difficult. When I first found out that the evaporator fan doesn't work, I went to a local home appliances store to buy one , cost me $40 , real easy to replace it and it solves the main problem , but this evaporator motor was making some loud noise every now and then , especially when we open the door too often. I am so happy! Watched the video in YouTube and how to replace my refrigerator door handles. I ordered the exact handles with the model # of my refrigerator, the handles came in about 4 days, all the way to Hawaii. It took me maybe 10 minutes to replace both handles.
