Replaces a cracked, broken, or worn ice dispenser chute door on your refrigerator. Installs in the freezer door ice dispenser to control ice flow.
The ice dispenser chute door had not been sealing for years. The ice cubes on the lower portion of the ice bin would melt enough eventually to then freeze up into a big, amalgamated blob of ice due to ambient air coming up the chute. This melt-then-freeze would happen, to the extent the chute froze to its own closure. Despite service technician visits over a period of six years nothing they did resolved the issue. I opened the freezer door to reach into the bin from the top to extract usable... Read more

After receiving the part from you, I had my son do the repair because I felt it would a good father - son bonding time. It was so easy and he was proud of his ability. Thanks for your excellent repair video and the excellent price. It costs less than $ 22 instead of more... Read more
Refrigerator not cooling or freezer warming up? A failed evaporator fan motor stops cold air circulation. DIY repair takes about 1 hour with basic tools.
Used U-Tube diagnostic clips to diagnose that most likely problem was a worn Evaporator Fan Motor which is located in the freezer back wall, located in the top third of the unit. I removed 6 hex head screws from the freezer's interior back panel that covers the evaporator coils. The cover is located in the lower 2/3s of the back wall. Removed all shelving. Also removed screws that held in shelf supports on one side of the freezer wall. I then removed the back panel. You may need to... Read more

Mounting screw for refrigerator ice maker assembly. Secures components to maintain structural integrity. Replace if lost, stripped, or corroded.
Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. This is a two person job - one to remove the top hinge and replace the handle, while a second person holds the refrigerator door in place. Replacing the handle was easy. The most irritating part was figuring out what parts to order. The drawing of the refrigerator door (Drawing # 4) used to figure out what parts to order was not clear. I paid $8... Read more

Seals refrigerator door to prevent warm air entry and maintain temperature. Replace if cracked, torn, or doors won't close tightly. Verify fit by model.
I took the new seal out of it's packaging and used a blowdryer on low heat to soften up the seal so that the crease from shipping (it was folded to ship) disappeared. Next I took the refrigerator door off, removed the old seal, & cleaned the area where the new seal would be applied. Following the video on the Appliance Pro Parts website, I re-installed the new seal and put the door back on. Last step was to snap on the new hinge cap I ordered. The video online was easy to follow and this... Read more
Fix water dripping from dispenser, hollow ice cubes, or frozen fill tubes. This dual solenoid water inlet valve controls flow to your icemaker. 15-min DIY.
Hello, After watching your repair videos and reading the other comments regarding the ice maker I decided it needed to be replaced due to the old age (12 years) and mysterious flakes in the ice cubes and the solenoid valves were recommended to fix the hollow ice cube problem. After watching the repair videos on the ice maker and solenoid valves I decided I could do the replacement myself. Not needing a service technician to be called out. Replaced Case Water Filter assembly DA81-05883A. Please read my post entirely before starting. Remove the panel from the back bottom of the refrigerator that covers the compressor and water valve,... Read more
