This is a replacement compressor for refrigerators manufactured by Whirlpool. The compressor plays a critical role in the refrigerator's ability to properly cool and preserve food. The Broken Tab Ice Door Kit is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. This kit includes all the necessary components to repair or replace the ice door chute, which is responsible for dispensing ice from the ice maker to the ice bucket or directly to the user. The ice door chute must seal properly to prevent warm air from entering the freezer compartment, which can lead to frost and ice buildup.

Symptoms of a failing or broken ice door chute include:

• Ice accumulating around the ice dispenser chute
• Frost buildup in the freezer compartment
• Warm air leaking into the freezer, causing temperature fluctuations
• The ice door not closing properly or becoming stuck
• Unusual noises from the ice dispenser area
