I was looking for a parts sight and found yours. I started to watch all the video tutorials on each part and the "check these connections first video". Well by doing this I was able to find the source of my problem. What I thought was the heating coil not working right, ended up being the timer that was bad!!! I am so very happy with your sight and the step by step videos that were the success to being able to do this on my own. Read more
This brake release cam works with the washer's brake assembly to disengage the brake during spin and re-engage it at stop. Replacing a worn cam restores smooth basket spin and reduces squeal or grinding at spin transitions.
First I looked at the many you tube vids, and there are many. appliance parts pros pretty much shows you how to deal with the parts. I changed the brake shoes and the clutch assembly which also comes with the driver cam. I also changed the metal brake operating cam. I think that brake lockup or improper brake release was the problem that broke the plastic cam driver. This was the broken plastic part making all the ticking noise. I first changed the coupling on the motor but that wasn't bad. in... Read more
Used from harness to top.
Fixing the problem was quite simple. First, I removed the lid assembly (thanks to the diagrams supplied by AppliancePartsPros.com!). Getting the back two screws out was very difficult because I couldn't see them from the front and I could not move the unit out of the enclosed space. After some trial and error, I located the screws which were 5/16 hex head screws and removed them with a MAGNETIC nut driver. (The magnet assures that the screw will not drop down into the mechanism). Second, I... Read more

This is a Whirlpool washer inner tub spin basket. The spin basket is the portion of the washing machine the clothes are held. This piece must operate efficiently for the items in the washer to be thoroughly cleaned. The main indicators of a damaged spin basket are the loss of the ability to spin or the washer making loud noises due to moving and rattling of the spin basket.Begin installing the new basket by unthreading the screws that fasten the top portion of the washer to the base. Tilt this back, and use a screwdriver to unfasten the clips that hold the top of the tub in place. Remove the fabric softener reservoir from the center of the basket. Use a socket to unbolt the agitator at the bottom of the tub. Once this is removed, reach down and lift out the old tub. Complete these instructions in reverse to install the new unit. This is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. This product is compatible with Whirlpool, Amana, Roper, Kenmore, and Maytag appliances.
Replaced the Inner Tub Basket. We watched the video, ordered the parts, and swapped out the basket in a breeze. We were very surprised, and pleased, with how easy the repair was. This saved me labor costs not having to hire a repairman, and, worst case scenario, saved me from having to buy a new washing machine. Read more
Used for the pressure switch.
Watched on line Video. Only problem was in disconnecting wire "bus" connector from switch. I was unable to remove connector without damaging it. I "jumped" connector to prove switch was faulty. This also allowed my wife to continue to do laundry while part arrived. I ordered a 3 circuit connector, but this was not the correct part. I ended up removing 3 wires from old broken connector and attaching them to new switch without a connector. Electrical tape did the trick. Not perfect... Read more
