Element
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 316560402

The Triple Radiant Surface Element is an OEM part for Frigidaire ranges and cooktops. This component features three individual electric coils contained within a single mounting unit.

The triple element provides versatile cooking options with three distinct zones that heat up rapidly and evenly. Whether simmering a sauce or boiling water, this element allows home chefs to prepare multiple recipe components simultaneously. Precise thermostat controls maintain selected temperatures accurately.

Causes of bad triple elements can include broken internal wiring from shifting or impact over time, or mineral buildup impeding heat transfer and coverage.

Symptoms of failure include:

  • Only one or two coils heating up out of three
  • Discoloration, cracking or pitting of the coil surfaces
  • Coils that pulse or cycle excessively in lower heat settings

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.

This replacement part is a black element mounting clip used in ranges or wall ovens. This clip is used for surface elements on electric ranges and ovens. Installation of this clip is very simple as it just requires replacing the old one with a new one and making sure it is secure. Pliers might be required if the old clip is bent or stuck near or on the heating element. There are no special tools needed for this repair. Stumbled upon Appliance Parts Pros web site and after some research bought 2 circuit boards. (UIB) Interface Board AP4501702 and ESEC Relay Board AP5780950. I carefully replaced the UIB board first and it solved the problem. Things like taking the door off can be found on the internet and took me far more time than actually replacing the board. I have never used APP before but understand that the other board is returnable. I am a very happy and future customer. Read more
