Replace the lock assembly: Open the lid and remove four philips screws from underneath the gasket. Carefully and patiently remove all of the gasket clips, first from the left and right sides then remove all but two from the top so when the final one comes out the panel and gasket can come towards you and then set gently in the top of the freezer. Pulled bottom kick panel off, removed the one screw that held the light bracket on, unplugged the light connection, had to file a small burr off the bracket and pushed the light into the slot, reconnected the push on connector, replaced the screw for the bracket, replaced the kick panel, and marveled at my accomplishment. I pick the fan I needed and decided to pair other parts with it and just replace them since I was already knee deep into this project. This was tricky. The first thing I should have done was unplug the freezer and reset the control board. Instead, I checked the voltage to the fan, (none), voltage to the control board (good), and continuity of the temp sensor (good). Figured bad control board...ordered part. Then pulled freezer away from wall (why I hadn't unplugged it first - a real pain), unplugged and "replugged."it. This reset board and the fan started working. Still no cooling.
