Broken plastic freezer shelf hanger. William C. • Throop , PA • December 22, 2019
Bought replacement part, exact fit. 2 screws out, 2 screws in EASY PEEZY. Hardest part was finding my 3/8 socket and waiting for the part which came way faster then expected. This is 2nd time APP saved me. Last time was for a 37 dollar relay that my appliance guy told me was my compressor. He told me to buy a new fridge because he wasn't going to replace the compressor. That was 3 years ago, :)

Shroud assembly that covers internal refrigerator components and helps direct airflow for consistent cooling. Replacing a cracked or damaged shroud restores proper airflow paths and can reduce fan vibration and contact-related noise. What it does:
- Covers and protects internal components from debris and accidental contact.
- Directs airflow around the evaporator/fan area to support even cooling; symptoms of a failing shroud include uneven cooling or frost buildup.
- Reduces fan noise and vibration when mounting tabs or the housing are intact.
- Visible cracks, broken tabs, or holes are common signs the shroud needs replacement.
What's included: One shroud assembly. Install notes:
- Always disconnect power to the appliance before beginning any repair.
- Remove interior panels and fasteners carefully; retain hardware for reinstallation.
- Align tabs and mounting points; do not force broken tabs—replace damaged fasteners as needed.

This water fill tube directs water from the inlet valve into the ice maker's fill cup. Replace a cracked, kinked, or frozen tube to restore reliable ice production and help prevent leaks or splashing inside the freezer.
- Routes water from the rear inlet valve to the ice maker fill area
- A damaged or blocked tube can cause no ice, small cubes, leaks near the back/freezer, or ice buildup at the fill spout
- Formed design helps aim water into the fill cup for proper filling
- Replace if the tube is cracked, brittle, kinked, or repeatedly freezing
What's included: 1 water fill tube Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off the water supply before servicing
- Access the rear and freezer liner; disconnect the old tube at the valve and liner/fill area
- Seat the new tube fully through the liner and into the ice maker fill cup; reconnect to the valve and secure any reused clips/seals
- Restore water and power, then check for proper fill and leaks

This aluminum strap secures the defrost heater firmly against the evaporator coil to maintain proper contact during defrost. Correct contact improves heat transfer so frost melts evenly and helps prevent recurring ice buildup on the evaporator.
- Secures the defrost heater to the evaporator for proper contact and heat transfer
- Promotes complete, even defrosting across the evaporator coil
- Helps reduce repeat frost/ice accumulation caused by a shifted or loose heater
- Typical clues include a loose heater, uneven frost pattern, or rattling near the evaporator
Includes: Aluminum strap
- Disconnect power and allow ice to melt before accessing the evaporator
- Use care around sharp fins and fragile refrigerant tubing; do not puncture or deform the coil
- Position the heater per your model's parts diagram and tighten the strap for firm, even contact
- Verify wiring is routed clear of the fan and moving parts before reassembly

This small but critical actuator spring restores return tension in a refrigerator's actuator mechanism, helping the lever reset to neutral after use so controls feel responsive and operation stops cleanly. What it does:
- Provides the return force for an actuator or lever so it moves back to its neutral position
- Helps the mechanism engage/disengage a switch cleanly
- Common symptoms of a weak or broken spring: lever sticks, feels loose, or doesn't spring back
- Contribute to intermittent activation or failure to stop when released
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power; if working near the dispenser/water system, shut off the water supply
- Access the actuator mechanism and note the spring's exact orientation (take a photo before removal)
- Use needle-nose pliers to transfer the spring; do not over-stretch or deform it
- Wear cut-resistant gloves and eye protection; test lever return action before reassembly
