Tested the power to the unit by turning on the cooktop portion and saw that I had power to all of the burners. Turned the selector knob to broil and saw that the top element would heat up. I then turned off the breaker to the unit. I then decided to take out the baking element to do a continuity test. When I touched it, a 1.5 inch section fell out. NOTICE: Part has been redesigned. Wire terminals are no longer straight off the the back they are from the side. Depending on your model you may have to make changes to make it fit.
Replaced oven lamp holder. Easy job. Took 10 minutes. Shut breaker to stove off. Removed 2 screws. Removed old lamp holder. Figured out how to take oven apart then removed all the old insulation. Throughly cleaned every thing and black taped the wire where the mice chewed on it. I ordered this insulation and didn't use the oven until it came in. Once I received it I took the oven back apart and placed the insulation in place. Every thing was precut to size. Super easy to install! Then put everything back together. Oven is good as new. Read more
